That is really helpful; thank you. It works perfectly when the height of the top-level frame (the screen) is set to fixed. However, when I set the height of the top-level frame to hug contents, it jumps up and down. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Quick update to my comment: It works with the screen's height on hug contents if the animation is removed, i.e., set to "instant."
