He whitens his teeth too lol. I was there in LA sitting in front of the finish line when Deegan launched his bike lol! They changed the rules after that "Rider has to be on bike over finish to win" haha memories. Brian is a smart dude and great father. His kids are living out their dreams. Props! Great Dad!

Brian Deegan’s parents were school teachers and I think his dad was a superintendent of a school system. He was raised right. Good values. Competitive. Good businessman.

When I watched Brian throw his RM 125 over the finish line in his first Supercross win and watch some of his party days of his past on some of his videos, I wouldn’t have pegged him as the great parent and human being that he is today. Proud of him and his families success! 👍🏻

He's always had a good head on his shoulder. The mulisha thing was all an act. Travis Pastrana even called him a poser. He called him that because he said Brian was the nicest guy he's ever met.

Me too. We are suppose to become more intelligent as we grow older. Good thing Brian did not graduate from college with good grades, (in anything but a trade today IMO), or he would would still be "Ghost Riding" his opportunities away. (so to speak) Yes, I am judgmental, as it is the only way to hold up good values, and I am Judging Brian right now. "Well done Brian Deegan, Well Done." :)

The whole mulisha thing was an act for brian yea he still did alot of dumb shit but he was young lary the fucking missing link was the real deal crazy out there one brian had to act like an idiot to keep up the image to make mulisha what it was until like 2010 brian always been smart dude with his head on straight had the buisness ideas even nack then it shows man kmew how to get it done evem back then

John Tomac was quoted as saying "I want my kid to peak when he is 25 not 16" when asked about Eli's lack of amateur titles and pursuing amateur MX.

Eli was a top amateur with many amateur titles so it's not like Eli wasnt elite then. He may not have won a ton of Loretta's titles but he won all sorts of other amateur national titles at Ponca, Lake Whitney, World Mini, etc.

To have a great guy like Brian Deegan as your dad, who can not only afford to give you the best equipment, but also knows the industry inside out as a rider and as a businessman, is a massive asset for Haiden. He is also keeping him on the 125 for supercross to enable him to hone his riding skills, and be more effective when he gets on the 250f. I for one have loved watching this kid come through the ranks and can’t wait until he turns pro. I wonder if he will be called baby Jesus by the media like Adam Cianciarulo was, as I imagine there is going to be similar, if not more hype 🤔

The more I listen to and watch this guy, the more I like him. Imagine if all dads treated their kids like this(not the financial support but the mental and emotional support). We’d have a lot less kids getting burned out by age 9.

Brian is a motor head and a straight up competitor, on top of that very rational and brilliant! Brian has grown to be a great father and husband you see this in his videos! Keep humble Brian and instill this in you're children. Continue to play the roll! Hudson is a little boy let him be one,, show him love let him grow to be what his interests take him,he will not disappoint.

Haidens biggest advantage is having the mental strength given to him by his dad and riding with all of the talent at their compound. That will give him the confidence he needs to accomplish whatever he wants.

Deegan speaks the facts no one else can. he is not out there searching for sponsors and what not so he can speak out the facts. will open so many more eyes to the reality of competitive racing

Brian always says he wants his kids racing the fastest kids to push them. Better to lose now than later on when it really counts. Plus it keeps you humble and appreciate what you have.

When dangerboy started riding the 125 he looked tiny and is still a little small for it, therefore greater risk of injury. Whys his kid riding a 125 not a 250f if hes making it easier for him to be fast right now?

I've seen Deegan and his kids understand losing is part of the game. They don't run off, cry, kick stuff around and totally break down. There are a lot of kids who do and I think thats just how they are brought up. You have to have kids who are mentally stable and not afraid to lose because it is guaranteed that you will!

I think guys like AC were so driven to win and took it soo hard when he didn't win every time, it absolutely devastated him. I just think it took a long time to get past that mental block.

Yeah I agree, personally I think brians right too and his youth might of played a part in early injuries keeping him away from wins too. When I think of Adam Ciancarulo my first thought is him sepersting his shoulder 3 times in a rsce rookie year and racing moto's with a torn acl to finish the season.

Literally an awesome guy and it’s a tough pill to swallow that my parents are the exact opposite to Brian. To have a dad like that will certainly breed success. And his genuine and real perspective on life & relationships is second to none. 🙌🏾💯

Brian just gets it man. See's things from all perspectives. Thats y himself and family are so successful. When it comes to the pro ranks everything has to come together for the rider. The team, the support, the drive, the talent, the killer instinct. U need it all to be successful and win races. I think the most important things are the killer instinct, and the drive to always be improving and bettering urself.

Adam was just a kid when he started I remember how squeaky his voice was and like he said you just see him grow. Deegan is making Hayden into a better racer by not putting him in the sea when he’s just a little gold fish.

Great interview. I don't know him other than watching him on tv but Brian seems like a genuinely good guy and more importantly a great father. He seems to really give thoughtful and honest answers to your questions. You could tell he's considered many of these things and maybe struggled with the best decisions in the path for his boy.

Perfect ping about building memories with your kids. We don’t race and don’t plan to but sometimes I get mad at the kids for being lazy or wanting to be on their phone more than riding. I remind myself make it fun and it’s fun for all. Best reward is when one of them tells me this is way better than screen time

Great podcast, massive fan of Brian in both his career and as a businessman. As someone that raced and now has two young kids racing I feel that drive to win all the time. But he is right, it's the time you spend with them that is way more important than the result. It's that fine line of supporting them but not causing them to feel pressure or lose the fun of why they are racing in the first place. Great insights. Much appreciated.

As a sports dad I totally agree with him and his philosophy of giving your kid what you can at the financial level you can afford. We all do it. It is cutthroat! The important lesson is to enjoy the journey. It’s a delicate balance of pushing your kid hard enough to be successful and you being a positive memory.

How can anyone dislike the Deegans? Especially Brian. Anyone hating is just jealous because he’s got money. It’s inspiring to me to watch Brian because he could so easily be a douche bag and raise spoiled brats but he is a stand up dude. Honest, humble, grateful, hard working, and just a real guy no bs.. hope I can be in a position one day to give my kids the opportunity to do whatever they want and support them 100% like he does, and be a positive influence like he has been, teaching them to be grateful and work hard.
