We cover how to show or hide a chart based on a condition in Excel. In our example, we have the revenue and costs of a fictitious company over time as well as the profits. We want to illustrate both the revenues and profits using two separate charts and let the user decide which one they would like to view. To do this, we firstly need to create the charts, ensuring that they both fit within one cell. We then use the IF and INDIRECT functions to enable the user to select when to show the charts.
