There's plenty of ego and attitude, it's just the contestants here are very talented. Way more than 99% of American cooking shows. These are all proper chefs; not the usual clowns on Food Network

I remember this series. This chef should have won. He was outstanding from the very start but in the Semi's he made a small mistake and they knocked him out because of it. He had been the most consistent stand out chef. I felt really quite sorry for him.
