Hey now lets not forget that Godzilla usually has to team up with other Kaiju in order to take Ghidorah down, that should say something about the Showa version. look, I'll throw my 2 cents in because why not. Personally, I think Showa Ghidorah is equal in power to Showa Godzilla, more specifically late Showa Godzilla. You gotta keep in mind, from 1955-75 is all one continuous timeline right, sure when Ghidorah was introduced it took 3 monsters to take him down, then the very next year 2. Both Godzilla and Anguirus were able to survive 1-1 fights in vs Gigan. I hate power scaling, but just remember Showa Godzilla went from being obliterated by Mechagodzilla, and needing the help of another deity like kaiju just to stand a chance against it, to being able to take down the now upgraded Mechagodzilla, who itself now has an ally, in the span of 1 year. Ghidorah is Godzilla's most popular enemy, for good reason. Ghidorah's debut film really set up the kaiju well. Ghidorah the Godzilla of space, just as Godzilla is the Ghidorah of Earth, two sides of the same coin. in the Showa continuity we never saw a proper 1-1 fight between the two, there was always another kaiju involved at some point, but if the two were to fight 1-1 no interferences, I don't think ether could best the other, and honestly as a Godzilla, Ghidorah and all round kaiju fan I actually really like that. Please don't come at me telling me how wrong I am. the above is just my opinion and it may be different to yours, and that's okay. Remember we're all apart of the same community here.

DAM actually takes place in 1999, technically making it the last Showa Era Godzilla (after Terror of Mechagodzilla). So King Ghidorah actually teamed with Gigan decades before his death at the hands of the Earth kaiju.

Now this all proves godzilla would win a 1v1 against ghidorah Showa got his clapped hard by mothra even if mothra was in here larva form showa never stood a chance Showa lost to a MONKE Showa needed to team with more than 5 monsters to even match showa ghidorah that destroyed the surface of Venus otherwise , showa godzilla would have died Almost lost to Gigan and megalon with he help of jet jaguar.
