I don't think he is saying that he was entitled to an A in the class. Most professors would excuse absences because of professional work in your field, but some don't, and attendance can really affect your grade. I'd be a little peeved too if I completed all the work despite not being there, and still got a poor grade. At least he didn't fail though.

I really want to hate this guy and find reasons to hate this guy. When I read in the student paper at UCLA that he was taking between 22 to 63 units a semester the only thing I could think was favorable treatment.... but he seem like a decent hard working guy who deserved what he has gotten so far. All power to him. Haters gonna hate.

He should have gotten an F. That is so incredibly disrespectful to skip most of the classes. Having been in academia for most of my 20's, real grad students work incredibly hard and have to prioritize work and class schedules. They don't pass just for enrolling.

@okonh0wp I agree, James really need to find his balance! I believe he is doing all of it to add credibility, edge and recognition in Hollywood and I understand that but if he can't give the work 100% he should not do it all. I was hesitant at first but I am on his side. He is actually saying that he completed the coursework and assignments. When he received the grade, he should have discussed it with the professor to see what could be done. But who knows, maybe it was an unfair grade.

@sferb I have seen people refer to him as arrogant and I was surprised because I have seen him interact with his fans before he was big like he is now and he is nice. But yes, I didn't like the way he said "my films have played at sundance" blah blah blah. James, it does not mean they were good, they accepted your films because of your name and status most likely.

James Franco is just an average guy who worked really really hard to get where he is (even if he's not the best actor around) HE managed to get VERY GOOD CONTACTS in Hollywood. Second, his come back to school was pretty much predictable Have you seen the movies he has been doing over the last 15 years Very poor movies . The only way he was going to have a control over his career was if HE produced movies HIMSELF.The guy was about to leave hollywood until came 127 hours...which saved his soul
