I never smoked weed (or anything) until my mid-30s, and just starting smoking the straight herb deep-inhaling has yet to make me cough. It was vaping (supposedly easier on your lungs: Don't Believe It!) that not only made me cough, but cough up blood. As long as the weed is clean, not filled with pesticides or sprayed with some accelerant, there's no reason it should make you cough unless you hold the smoke in your lungs too long.

Liberty caps are actually a fairly potent mushroom, they are also easy to learn to identify, there are no poisonous mushrooms that closely resemble them and grow in the same habitat, which is in grassland where they break down decaying grass roots. They have long stems, conical caps and usually have nipple like protrusions on top. I can literally harvest thousands of them in Scotland over the autumn. Inocybe geophylla is a poison mushroom that has been mistaken for liberty cap, but the two are rather distinct and conocybe will be found in association with conifer and deciduous trees. Do some research, maybe find someone local who knows what to look for, they are very common mushrooms here!
