Here’s a long overdue showcase video of my Freehand Forgeworld Warlord Titan Valentine VII - Warhammer 40k 28mm scae.
I went into it only a bit in the video, but it’s not a standard Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legion unit. This Warlord belongs to my homebrew Knight World Caelitus, which is just my more official name for 40k Bretonnia. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Bretonnians and their vibrant colros and various heraldry, so I decided to build my mass stockpile of Bretonnian Knights into a Warhammer 40k force with Sisters of Battle, Imperial Guard, and Imperial Knights.
The Warlord Titan is their centerpiece since it just looks like a bigger knight. And it was a chore and a half. Spread out over a year and soaking a lot of my freetime, but honestly worth it in the end. Freehanded panels cover most of it with only the marble being not-freehanded. It fits much better with the rest of the knights that way.
As for the freehand murals on this giant mech walker, they’re designed to be landscapes depicting the world. To get more into what the video says, there’s three Grail Guardians per capital city, and each one has its own theme based around the Feudal World’s three core beliefs: Faith, Valor, and Pride. This one is a Pride Titan, as in Pride over the world their heritage and dangerous world. Hence all the landscapes and dangers shown. As deadly as this shrine world is, the knights of Caelitus treasure its beauty and challenges for forging them into the greatest knights they can be. Means they’re exceptionally fearless and daring when on holy crusades for the Imperium and Ecclesiarch.
But that’s enough custom warhammer 40000 talk for one bio. It was a fun build and challenge, but never again. I got lots of other projects to finish alongside growing a variety channel.
There will be a better 4k video released once I finish a retrofit for this Titan that adds even more panels.
DD's Built Showcase: A playlist of finished miniatures, warhammer, lego, models, game designs, DIY, and other art creations that are deserving of a video showcase. These are usually short videos lacking any of my usual comedic bits so viewers can focus on the completed work as a whole. Often times these constructions are considered to be among the best of my works and definite masterpieces in my collection.
