It almost doesn't matter who they are or their motives. The verdict of SC should be respected and implemented. Unless there is evidence that suggests that the verdict of SC itself was influenced by outside elements and there is no such thing, at least in this case. But even then, you can only pursue a lethal route. The question of SCs verdict itself being compromised it's a very real possibility. Our courts are far from perfect after all. It will be anarchy if people start encouraging such majoritarian views and not respect the SCs verdict and anarchy is not good for anyone. And I doubt you even understood half of what I said here and that's part of the problem. India is full of illiterates and educated illiterates.

Sorry to say laws are made by rulers and can be amended with majority and court is just an institution to safe gaurd laws, any writs by court should be acceptable to people at large. Courts are not superior to citizens of nation.

Kakaraparthi Sridevi, Well said. The SC bench containing 4 men & 1 woman (gender equality be thrown to the winds) did not give this ruling unanimously. The honorable lady justice by the name Ms Indu Malhotra clearly stated that law cannot interfere in matters of faith & she was right. How on earth can law decode faith which contains emotions & sentiments of millions of people ? This is not a property dispute. But the sane voice of the lone woman was completely ignored by these patriarchal milords (that much for misogyny).

Everytime I watch national media on Sabarimala issue I am horrified by lack of knowledge and understanding of the pulse at ground zero. After watching Nidhi Razhdan and others at NDTV covering Sabarimala, it is clear why they are constantly disliked by BJP supporters. I used to be critical of the people poking at NDTV but since I have seen NDTVs Sabarimala reporting it is clear that there is meat in the criticism meted out to NDTV. Right from the framing of this issue to the conduct of the debates, the "Appropriation" is very evident and there to see. So, Prannoy Roy and his troubles, Chidambaram and his black money parked in NDTV, etc. etc. are no longer figments. These open biases are proof that there could be compelling reasons for this media company to behave the way they do. Definitely not a channel for the average working class Hindu. Disappointed with Prannoy and his ilk.

Awesome. There is nothing more important than what the majority thinks and feels. Who are we fooling ? Even democracy is about who gets the majority vote. We divide people of the majority by ideology, views, opinions, religion and caste. If there is a majority which feels that the temple laws should be upheld there is no two ways. The courts need to rethink on this issue.

Madhavi Menon should be more kind to Brahmins. There are black sheep in every community. If the entire world became “Menons”, there will he good Menons as well as bad Menons. The few bad Menons should not become the reason for generalizing that all Menons are bad. Some of the evils in Kerala - women not allowed to cover their upper torso - is unique to Kerala, and could very well have Dravidian origin. I don’t think Brahmins in the rest of the country are even aware that such a custom existed. In my opinion, Brahminism is not by birth, but by virtues. There are some men born into Brahmin families, but do not have an iota of Brahminicsl qualities. They are ones who generally cause problems in the society. A majority of the Brahmins are kind and non-discriminatory.

Almost the whole debate was wasted on the IRRELEVANT topic of beliefs. The verdict is already out. This is a clear case of failure of part of the Kerala government to implement the verdict and the debate should've been focused on that.
