+PopaSquach theyre using a mod called 19xxte which they use so they can have timed stock battles. Maybe someone can answer this, I see that tacos is using a gc controller and isai is using a n64. I know its possible to emulate 64 and the wii and use a GC but how are the both using different controllers? I'm guessing its a modded controller?

There's a couple things you can do. One of them is that you can get a raphnet controller adapter GC to N64, works similar to how GC to USB would. another person said this is a "hori controller". But imo the best option is to use the original n64 controller with maybe an analog stick mod (there are ones on amazon you can get for an n64 controller).

+Dream Crushers - This is a combo heavy game because of high overall damage output and very high-stun, where Zero-to-Death combos happen several times almost every match. It's not faster than Melee in game speed, but the stock exchanges go by really quickly.

Game has more zero to deaths which means 5 stocks. Many people want the game to be fast but honestly, the reason why most people run away and find an opening is because literally one hit can mean death. This game's matches can go fast, but high level players take their time and it really ticks me off. when Melee or Sm4sh players come and just insult the games speed when it's just more than that. If your question was why 5 stocks because the time took too long, well there's your paragraph why those matches took a long time.

+GuyPlaysGames As a Melee player, I do not disrespect Smash 64, but the prevalence of characters such as Yoshi, Puff and Pikachu can make the game sort of slow and pokey for my taste. There is something beautiful with Fox's jab Up smash and it's speed and ruthlessness, you know? More Fox needed.

qbst because Yoshi has a parry that can absorb 1 hit and then he can retaliate. Down air has multiple hits which is impossible to parry.

The original smash was a game that was all about skill and combos. It was the combos that made the game so different for any other fighting game. The later Smash titels changed that formula to a more classic fighting style.
