The LS Z to Jimmy is like the Cream 240 for Adam. It's a reminder of where you came from and what you thought could be accomplish at that state of your life. Seeing the new builds from both and comparing them to those cars really shows how far you improved in building cars. Keep the Z as it is and enjoy it like your 20 again, but with a budget to fix it if it does break.
@7000jack87 Жыл бұрын
Quite literally was what I was exactly thinking. Those two cars mean so much to both of them, and it’s cool to see them the same way they were when I started watching both of them.
@sydneexxceasy9063 Жыл бұрын
That's such a great point. Adam will probably never get rid of his 240. But I'd say it's more jimmys 240 and Adam's 240. Those are there first drift projects and both have heavily evolved to be more track cars but are still ridiculously clean and I'm sure that's another car Jimmy will neverlet go

I definitely wouldn't change it. It's a nice thing to keep and remember how things started. If you do anything, just fix the paint and keep the rest as-is. You have plenty of other cars to modify. If you change this one, it stops being the car you built all those years ago

Jimmy, this video was great! You should go back and make a video like this for each of your cars that were building blocks for the channel. Tell some stories, reminisce, and do some pulls with GoPros set up. That way people can go back whenever and learn about the car or just reminisce.

this car is a physical representation of a memory, so it makes sense that you don't want to modify it. at most i would say a refresh would be a good way to honor the memory while representing how far you have come.

I’ve been a viewer since a few videos into the LS Z32 build. You know how nostalgic the car is when Jimbo jumps in to drive it out of the shop, starts it up and gives that smile to the camera. Makes me feel the same way every time it’s featured in a video. ❤
@oscarcook6572 Жыл бұрын
I love videos like this and think it would be so great if you did more driving reviews with your other cars too. Also please don’t change the car. Maybe a paint touch up, but keep it original - it’s a sign of the times.

Love the story. Love the car. Don't change it, just refresh it. Take it apart, do the paint and body, clean up the wiring, get it "show ready" but just as you built it. If you find a failure point, correct it. Don't change the story, just enjoy the story as best as it can be.

Damn dude I been watching since the bmx days. This car brings me back to not having a car yet and riding my bikes everywhere hoping to build a cool car some day. Gotta show the Z some love. It’s the OG
@kasper_429 Жыл бұрын
21:15 - 21:25 Exactly! Keep it how it is, but just clean it up (take it to a body shop to get the dents/dings/scratches out of it, maybe repaint it if absolutely necessary, then get Aidan back up there to detail/paint correct the car), maybe refine some things (like the tune if it needs it, clean up the engine bay, interior, etc.), and just enjoy it! Like someone else said below me, the LS-Z is to you like the Cream 240 is to Adam. Sure, he changed up the aero and the wheels slightly, but kept the soul of the car intact. You just need to clean the Z up to make it 100%, and just keep it as a time capsule. I can't believe it's been 7 years! I've been here for about 5-6 of those 7, and it's been an awesome ride. Here's to the next 7 years of Jimmy O and the gang!

All of us who have watched since the build, truly understand what you mean with not modifying the car. It is its own. It hits that different place in our hearts. Its nostalgia and feelings. We would all love to modify, touch and work on our "baby" but it actually hurts. Its the feeling of removing its history. Its back bones. With that i say. Keep the dings. Keep the spots. Keep it like it is. Fix up whats absolutely needs to be fixed up. Keep it how history wanted it to be. The car is a part of you and who you were and is. Loved the video and would definetly love more of these type of videos.

Perfect way to end it off Jim. Leave it as it is. It will always be your reminder to remember where you started and how far you’ve come since. You built that car and were nervous to break it, now you’re building cars to purposely bang doors in, have fun with shredding, break it, fix it, and repeat.

To be honest, I would just refresh the car here and there of what is needed and that's it, it is time capsule of your life and history.
