Wonderful to see some of your personal (and current) favourite collector pieces, so thanks for sharing. One of the great things about agate collecting is there is always the exception to the rule. Just when you believe you'd never own a specimen from a certain deposit, as in general they don't appeal to one's eye for beauty, then BAM, along comes an example more than worthy of adding to the collection. Agates = always full of surprises!

Amazing agates! I really like the video from this very talented young collector, traveler, popularizer of agates from all over the world. Excellent taste, knowledge, thirst for new discoveries and travel for agates - it's all about Joshua. I am happy that fate has given me a precious gift - meeting and acquaintance in real life (not only in virtual) with amazing people, including meeting and acquaintance with Joshua. I wish Joshua new amazing discoveries and replenishment of the collection with fantastic agates!

So freaking beautiful man! I'm so in love with agates. I'm glad you had a couple Lakers in there, lol. If you are ever interested, you should check out a short book by a guy called Scott Wolter. He has arguably the best collection of Lake Superior Agates in the world. There are a couple he named, "Peanut Butter and Jelly", and, "Home Run", that are absolutely insane, with colors far beyond red and white. Love the channel. Will be following closely.

You're a true collector, Josh. Thanks for sharing your showcase, and thanks for showing your true love of these beautiful objects. I've been fascinated about minerals for nearly eight decades thanks to Alice Conkling's rock driveway. The jaspers, quartz, flints, and agates, became my first collection--(she thought my searching was "cute" and let me hunt for hours on end.) My interest occasionally has had to be put on hold, but it never stopped.

Your collection is really nice! I love the individual agates and also the variety of stones you are keeping -- for now 🙂 Thank you for showing us what your showcase looks like, as you are a high end professional. I was a little self conscious because I have a map of South Dakota from when I first crossed the state line and a feather I found (also in South Dakota) while rock hunting. So thank you for another great video, you Rock!

Some stunning agates there mate ,well done. I noticed you have very few green banded agates.makes me think that many of the agates we find around here ( mt Somers, Canterbury, New Zealand) could be quite rare. I am very surprised with the value of your stones.i didn't realise that they were worth so much.great stuff and cheers 🍺 from NZ 🇳🇿

I like it very much you remember the story of every stone. Every time I learn a bit more. Now I have to learn how and where to cut the stones. It helps me to follow all your videos. Thanks for it

You indeed have high quality agates, in terms of bands and colors. I never have such type of agates. I have hundreds of agates which you can see the bands with bare eyes. They're all shaped by the sand in the desert like rock.
@vgorski75455 ай бұрын
With each stone you show, there should be a close -up view so we can see the delicate bands.

New goal: Own a German agate. I live in Louisiana, USA and our state rock is the agate. We have some o f the most beautiful banded agates I’ve ever seen. The German ones may be just as, or more beautiful.

If you would ever be interested in a trade let me know. I have access to some very cool stuff. My ancestors moved to America from Germany in the 1800s. I’d love to have some German stones. The area where I live in Missouri has very similar geology to parts of Germany and I think that’s why so many of them immigrated to the area. Bit of a pain dealing with shipping and I’m in no rush. It would probably be after Christmas before I was able to do anything. Let me know if you would be interested, if not that’s ok 💯 👍🏻
