I started bawling at your first clip where you get up and say it’s all your fault. I had a horrible riding accident on a hack in a National park last year and took me 3 months to get back on and 9 months to canter again. Admire you so much for getting on Dee. Be kind to yourself and give yourself time to emotionally recover. I’m so glad you and Jam are ok ❤

Don't worry too much about Jammy - she will have been far less bothered by the fall than you were. My mare slipped over sideways just walking down a road last year and I worried it would affect us both mentally but (she clearly didn't care!) it hasn't and if anything I think we trust each other more now. Big shout out to Hannah this weekend who was in her element as super groom and lovely to see what a super supportive friendship you guys have.

Crying right with you on this one. There is nothing like a bad fall for both rider and horse to make you question every thing you are doing. It's the protective instinct and love that you have for your horses, that makes it hardest to get over it. Not to mention that bit of biological reaction to not wanting to repeat it. You are so so brave to get back on and finish the event and not letting it road block you. Prayers for you and Jam Bam 🙏

Congratulations on a stellar SJ round with DD and being brave enough to do it afraid. Speaks volumes to your dedication and love for your horses and passion for the sport. So incredibly proud of you and D! You did so well! Fell on the first jump 8 years ago when I rode my first cross. Refused to do anything jumping related afterwards. I was mortified. It's actually because of your many polework videos that I picked it back up again in 2020. You have been such an inspiration over the years and now even more so. Being able to finish so strong with D. You are such a power woman! You and Jam will rise high above this, I'm very sure. Don't be too hard on yourself. The steeplechase, the ground were all things to consider, the both of you did everything in your power to make it. On another note: that startbox jump though, she didn't even bat an eye at it. She just pinged it. Big loud cheers of appreciation to all the incredible people around you! Certainly a dream team brimming with love and support! Edit: FEI described it best with Megendary. Be kind to yourself! Glad the both of you are okay. Mad respect

That jump of the start box! Awesome. If you fall get back in the saddle. It takes a while to rebuild your psyche but you will. It wasn’t just a bad stride it was a normal pat in but the going was so bad she skidded in and lost the room to get her knees up. So stop beating yourself up. She had flattened over the steeple chase, the going was knee deep and it was a skid in that up tipped you both. It happens. Get back on and ride for the love of it. Oh and concussion does weird stuff to your head. All sorts of emotions for no apparent reason. Down time. Concussion healing takes quite still meditation. You got this.

I wouldn't say happily, she was clearly spooked by her fall.

@@Kristina__K I didn’t mean it as in, she enjoyed it. I mean it as in Jammy didn’t care that it was the start box and she jumped it anyway!

OMG Jammy jumping the start box, I shouted out loud and my Hubby wondered what the heck had happened! So glad you are both ok, apart from being a bit battered and bruised. Han made me cry with her concern for you and Jammy....Han Super Groom. I know Hobbit must have been so worried about you both too, as well as Pete and all the other crew. Cried most of my way through this video some emotional tears for you and then happy tears at the end with you and Tina hearing you had qualified for Badders with Dee Dee and Banksy Jammy has forgiven you already, now you just have to forgive yourself, I know easier said than done. Thank you for sharing this very emotional event. Take care xxxx

Well another of your videos where I cried along with you. So glad you are both ok, and hats off to you for having the courage and determination to jump Dee even though you were both nervous and scared. Both ponies did you proud, as did your crew, what a support group you have. I am also sure that Jam will trust you, your ponies love you. Don't loose heart now, you are talented and just need to have faith in yourself and your ponies. So pleased you qualified for Badminton.

Meg you are a legend. It is easy to scrutinize a ride afterwards and entirely different when in the moment. As Jam masterfully demonstrates and the old adage goes there is no better manager of a horse’s feet than the horse. Additionally, you are and your horses are amazing athletes.

Fair play to you getting back on and showjumping Meg , you are so brave . A good winter together will help both Jam and you with confidence again . These things happen especially in this sport . Both you and jam are fine and that’s the main thing ! Well done 👏

... whew. I cannot imagine doing that; yes I've gotten back on after falling, even cracking some ribs in primary school-age, and also five years ago, fracturing my left ankle, coming off a THB, but definitely not competing. I said so in the other vid and I'll say it again - your "realness" with showing the full life of a rider, has created this fanbase you've got, and everything was there for you to get that Badminton show. You did the hard work, with an incredible team, and it all came through. Very much a thorough fan now, all the way from Africa.
