About 9 grand. I found a price-comparable monohull boat for you: the RS Feva XL Club. $9150. 7.1 m² sail area, 3.64m length, 1.42m beam, hull mass 63kg. Gennaker is an additional 7m² sail area for downwind runs. Doubt the Hobie can compare to that.

@@MairinGoBragh i ended up doing some searching. 1 year ago. And these appear to be popular up in the northwest. Found a site for used ones, but trying to get it to TX would cost me that 9000 you mentioned. I'll check out the one you mentioned. Thanks
