this is the next level of improv, I've seen a few different improv musical shows (like 2 podcast and 1 gameshow episode) but they were made mostly to just have fun, this is made to be good and it's extremely good lol because you guys are just so good at improv hahaha

I'm going to be in one of these shows soon (in May) and from the audition, you practice skills like making up tunes and words and simple tricks that help advance your improv. So it's mainly bonding as a group and trying different improvs after given something random. Also, the guy is the red trousers was the person who was running the audition and he's amazing

@@dinothepenguking8824 Hey Dino, my friend is trying to start something like this in my town with some local amateur improvisers which include me. Unsurprisingly, we're nowhere near the level of the folks in this video. Do you have a list of maybe top 5 warm-ups / exercises that you would recommend particularly for the musical improvisation skill-set?
@dinothepenguking88245 жыл бұрын
@@fedorilitchev5092 I'm not good with the names of activities but I can explain them. One of the games we did was a game with sound where you passed on a sound that just came out of your mouth, for example 'shzzoom' and aim it at someone using eyecontact and body gestures (like swinging your arms towards them), then that person will recieve it and they 'take' that noise by copying the noise and sort of drawing it into themselves to then push out another random noise at someone else, the aim is to try to pass as many of these around as you can and being able to recieve the same amount of noises that were sent out, which would be sort of like given out by the person who was in charge of the game can give out another noise whenever they feel like it and decide to stop the game by collecting the noises. If you are sending a noise on and the person you're sending it to doesn't notice, they just keep re-sending it to that person until they notice and take the noise. It's basically about getting more comfortable around who you're working with and that it doesn't matter what happens, just that if you do it with pride no one can say it's wrong. Sorry for a long bit of info, I'm a paragraph writer

@@fedorilitchev5092 the next game that really reached out to me was called "my friend Fred". This works better with a group that can split in pairs and in 2 rows. The first people will get given a random type of person, for example, one is a horse rider and the other is a deep sea diver and they have to do a little improv conversation as these people and then, starting with whichever (sort of follows a left, right, left, right pattern) one of them, they will at some point say "have you met my friend Fred, they are an insane scientist" (for an example) and then that person would then go to the back of the line and the person who is now at the front has to play the character the other person said. So on and so forth. The characters can be as mad or basic as they want. It's all about again getting more comfortable with eachother and building the skill of making and developing a quick character and storyline through improv.

White Gold They didn’t get the idea of improvisation from Whose Line as It Anyway as that concept was created by the Greeks. You are completely naive to say they have stolen it from anyone. They are both great shows in their own right!
