Fantastic work from you bro... totally appreciate your efforts and vision. Could you please find a suitable guest who can address the big issue in indian society today, which is the majority mindset who think that only education can bring fortunes and only way to survive. But wat about the people who are not good at studies but they have a unique abilities in them. How can we guide parents & social creatures around such individuals who can actually help them in finding their path of life in other ways without education. I feel there are millions of kids who get discouraged or taunted as useless just bcos they could not pass few subjects or clear exams. We indians need a new mindset to look at opportunities rather being traditionally narrow. If we can uplift the confidence and moral of such underrated talents, we actually make India grow. Please think on this... Thanks a ton for your good work.😊😊

Problem is with us because we don't raise our voice. Atleast you are raising this issue. Hope every student talks about the issues he or she faced in their college or school after they clear their exams. We want the new students who are going to join these institutes to make their choice carefully. Eventually when these school/colleges are defamed and get questioned by new joiners repeatedly they would change.

The problem is most of our engineering colleges are focused on placements and CGPA than allowing students to experiment with their original ideas ( if at all they have any). Because sometimes until unless you come up with 100 bad ideas, you cannot come up with 1 new idea. Focus should be more on brain storming and problem solving than having to sit through boring lectures.

@@space1499 bro our colleges suck. I am currently doing my Mtech in a so called prestigious University ( PES University) that is famous in Bangalore. But here the professors, chairperson, students almost everyone are toxic as fuck. They will not let others grow , they will not grow. Just try to go up to them and explain your unconventional ideas, they will laugh at you and will not take you seriously. No innovation, no creativity. Everything here is based on grades. Want to get into a club , you need to pass some test. Want to conduct research with professor, you need a good cgpa. Don't expect your professors to respect you if you don't have such a good cgpa. You want to survive in this shit University you have to suck dick. The only bright side of this university is placements/ hackathons. It is an extremely toxic environment that will try to bring you down. You don't know how much I feel like crying for being trapped in PES , I have nowhere to go.

Yes, there is a gap. Companies expect to hire highly skilled individuals, while our colleges are producing graduates who may not meet these expectations. Clearly, not everyone can perform like a top candidate. Nowadays, many colleges operate primarily to receive government funding, and it's no secret that some are controlled by politicians and mafias. Their primary goal is not to produce high-quality engineers but to profit personally. Edtech companies are stepping in to bridge this gap.

A simple analogy for people who think learning to code will get them high paying jobs: Do you think learning english or any spoken language will give you the skills of writing books, essays, content of the best kind that can influence the world in many ways? Will it not require lots of effort, practice to master skills in a language to be able to write books on many subjects. Similarly tech giants will hire you if you have evolved your software skills to that level of writing software where you can create sophisticated software that is not just an app but has many moving pieces and can scale to hundreds of millions of users.

These people are scamming Bsc/Humanaties/engineering student from non IT/CS background. She is exploiting students by showing her few weeks of internship in microsoft. I doubt she herself has done any good project in job. She is also doing plagiarism of resources available free on internet and selling as her own course. You guys always talk about the gap between the degree and skill ..but none in the whole conversation mentioned any skill required for the different aspects of the degree.... at least you should classify what skill what degree, as a word skill sums up many things, just by saying you don't have skill if someone would put a light on the required skill would be much better because we are fed-up listening that people don't get skills.

Hey, I really enjoy your content, but I noticed that in this episode, you spoke much more than your guest. I was excited to hear her insights, but it felt like she didn’t get enough space to share her thoughts. A podcast is all about listening to the guest’s perspective, and giving them room to speak adds so much more value. I hope in future episodes you can give your guests more time to share their stories and expertise. Keep up the good work!

What I figured out: Students must work on self.. Employers must employees select on competency basis and not on degree basis Employability skill must include resume writing, scanning for opportunities, Engineering education must include study 'ON' engineering so that students understand the disciplines and the prospects Workplace culture matters in choice making.... at Microsoft seeking and giving help is encouraged and at Google - entrepreneurial spirit is supported Learning skill such as coding is good... but creating an expectation on future basis the skill is questionable - coding must be learned to guarantee minimum employability. AI is a tool, .. it cannot replace a software developer.. use AI as a tool - very nice perspective shared by the guest. Students must become problem solvers instead of coders - good advice! Good teacher knows the problems of the students and empathise, effectiveness of teacher is about relatedness.. Education must relate knowledge - Skill with job and employment... Comment on the podcast: title was misleading..., anyway thanks for an interesting conversation

Girls actually don't opt for Engineering courses. This is the matter of the fact. Secondly, true Engineering colleges are a shit show irrespective of their level. IITs aren't great because of great professors, they are great because of great students. A fact most often ignored by the World.

Hi, I agree with this. I think we have to change the education system to focus on work on increasing practical knowledge, and like that, just for the required document. Don't waste time in documentary work, just for the company's requirement is that. we need to upgrade faculties, improve skills, and gain practical knowledge that is useful for at least them to face the problem out of college life and the job for them, according to their skills. It's my thought. Thank you, @Raj shamani 😊😍🌎

Students se 6 lakh se 8 lakh ka Course karwane k bad bhi Students ko 15 se 20 hazar ki job krni pade to sharm se doob kr mar jana chahiye ase College university system ko. Jo students ko skill ki jagah course k theory hi ratwate rhte hain Sharm aani chahiye sarkaron ko jo aaj bhi Agrejon k zamane ka Education system chala rhe. College university k focus keval degree par hai degree deke kam khatm inka 😡

I grew in company of hunter, farmer, carpenter, smiths, barber, Cobbler, meson, electrician, workers etc. I watched and learned their skills. Made hobby. Made tool for me. Didn't money to buy. This help me to become good problem solving engineer. In contrary my son is also engineer who cant tight screws in wall, cant join electrical wires, cant apply M-Seal. Issue is he dont hav genes of techie mean he don't hav like and attraction of tech stuff from childhood. I clear find diff in him and me. He took engineering because he learned life is good after degree.

Few points I feel are worth jotting down: A)I feel the idea of Education is way too much oriented towards fulfilling the requirements of the Industry. The idea of Education should be more focused towards the essence of imparting knowledge, not just providing jobs. B)Knowing should become the central theme, Institutions should focus more on providing the atmosphere for the student to quench the thirst of curiosity. Application of that knowledge will eventually happen as the student dives deeper into the subject. C) And above all, Human intellect just want to know, it is very much possible that the knowledge might not find its application/utiltiy, and that should be fine. This would create the space for Exploration. Every individual is born Genius, only question is whether it finds the expression or not in the given Environment.
