That sounds better to me than anything I've heard, and I only listen to great guitarists, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Van Halen. You've reached a higher level, in playing the guitar itself.Keep it up. Thank you for the useful tricks and guitar tricks.

Now I know where Tosin's "hammer from no-where" thing came from in his Etude videos haha!! Rick you've greatly inspired at least 2 of my favorite musicians Charles Caswell, and Tosin Abasi.. I can tell they learned a lot from you, can't thank you enough for these great videos you share with us. Earlier this year I got your "killer shred" course and it absolutely has transformed the way I play. I'm excited to try more of your courses. You're such a great teacher and an even better player! All the best to you and your family!

I have recently been trying to make diff or aleast diff from mainstream sweeping patterns...but playing them with absolutely no bleeding through.....diff story. Man Rick everything about the way you play is amazing. Skill, Style, creativity are all past human level of capability.. first heard the solo for the promo for Bare knuckle pickups juggernaut, immediately it became one of the best solos I've ever heard and probably ever will here. Honestly makes me want to quit playing guitar, same feeling you get when you hear Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Dimebag Darrell, !RANDY RHOADS! and endless other amazing guitarist that reach God level of guitar playing. 🤘🏻

Hi Rick, why do you play an Am over F#m7? There's a C natural in Am and a C# in F#m7, wouldn't those 2 notes clash? If you were using an F#m7b5 it would fit nicely, I'm sure you have a reason for it and that's why I'm asking you, it's not criticism, I just would like to know if you don't mind. Nice videos mate.
@Periph1989
@Periph1989 6 жыл бұрын
He doesn't play that... he plays a G#m arpeggio and a C#m arpeggio over the F#m, and then he plays a Am arpeggio over the AmM7, then for the E chord, he plays a E arpeggio starting with the G# when he ascends then a C#m arpeggio when he descends.

This was great! I do have a question, which setting do you use for your pickups? I've been using my neck pickups and seems to have a cleaner tone for the notes without getting muddy from other strings. But at the same time using other patterns I get loads of feed from my other strings, not sure of the best way to quite them up without muting them which dampens the sound. I hope that made since Haha. I cant seem to find a direct answer on this issue. Maybe too much gain?

thats one of the hardest things for me when sweeping is when adjacent notes are on the same fret. also, sweeping open strings. have to get the finger roll and string muting down solid. lots of patience. not easy to do.
