The guitarist is very good, with nice chops. But what can I say Michael you steal the show.

Sandro is a very professional player. I think both guitar and violin complement each other well. The violin is more of a novelty vs the guitar, maybe that's the reason it seems more surprising.

I meant no disrespect for Sandro. He's awesome. And is by far a better guitarist than I am. I do believe as Matthew says the effects do make a difference. Your sound is much bigger and fuller. But I don't see the violin as a novelty vs the guitar. One of the biggest influences on my own playing has been Jean Luc Ponty. And he did away with the SHRED VIOLIN vs. SHRED GUITAR novelty many years ago.

lower the effects a bit I wanna hear the notes xD sounds cool and all though

Thank you! It's a matter of preference. This is clearly the way I like to hear the music, similar to Steve Vai, Buckethead and other guitarists who add a lot of reverb and delay to their sound.

would it be easier to shred in the violin than in the cello and guitar?

No, not really. It's the same difficulty for pretty much everything.

What is your violin and strap? This looks much more effective to use then using your chin.
