I'm not going to lie and say I watched this whole video, but the title immediately threw my brain back to 1991 and playing Turtles II at a sleepover, saying "Tonight I dine on turtle POOP" every time we saw that line in the game.

Nice clutch win. My best advice is to try to not expand all the lanes equally, and instead spread them out in length. It helps a lot with the bosses if you have a super long lane to spawn them in.

Depends on the towers used but some of them I want to expand equally for the AoE. But yeah shredders should be expanded at different lengths, and a long one for the bosses

I've seen some math streams on this game and shredder is best tower. It scales N^3 and all the others scale N^2 (square vs cubed) but doesn't account for elemental or slow

I will take a random guess and say that the shredders follow the path of the person they initially attacked, which is why they will eventually start clumping or else they're just hooked into the spawning numbers or the like and do careless maths in that direction.

Someone asked the dev in the discord and the dev said it was a random chance for each path when it got to a split. I think I would rather it being evenly split.

@@Verowak Would probably depend on the kind of randomness used by the game, how many sets of randomness there are, and when things are called. If it does tables, then the tables probably aren't perfectly random and so there'd be a bias involved. Or if the calls all happen off the same tables, and so on. Plenty of fun ways to have clumping happen, like sneezing when trying to add flour just a little bit at a time.

More Universities > Fewer Universities that are higher level. If we assume that your universities have 5% to everything (because the cards you chose), then we can use dice to represent probability and show why having more is better: If I roll a d20 (aka a die with 20 sides and numbers from 1-20), I have a 5% chance to hit any of those numbers. If I roll 2d20, I now have ~2x the chance (9.75%, to be exact) to hit any of those numbers because I'm rolling 2 dice. If I continue to roll more dice, that percent continues going up, with diminishing returns. TL;DR - Having 5 5% universities is better than 1 university with 20%. You only get to roll that 1 in 5 once. But if you could 1 in 20 5 times, much higher odds of something getting you a bonus. Put even more simply, each university adds ~5% better chance of getting something. And considering that each University is 500g (which never increases) and the cost to make a University 20% is definitely more than 500g, that's another argument for more Universities vs higher level universities. Remember that your upgrades are only adding 1% chance. So 5 upgrades is more expensive than just putting down more universities. On some maps, this math doesn't matter because you only have 1 spot to put universities around. But on a map like you have, where you have 3 spots and only 1 of them has universities, you're inhibiting yourself for literally 0 reason. Edit - you had 16 locations to build universities. Really missed out on those extra 5% chances. Even if health damage isn't what you want, it's better than nothing.

I really love Shredders, but the one tower that gives me guaranteed wins is Radar. Boss waves are easy mode, they are dead within 3 tiles of spawning, even Big Brain Oogie, it's insane.

Well it wasn't a high school competition, it was a regional/provincial/national competition but I was in high school when I entered it :D My high school was REALLY small and we didn't have many extra curricular activities or groups

Man I wish for a PvP mode. same principle as singleplayer but you could spend gold to send your enemy additional troops. would probably work fine with the portals that are already there...

For which way it's going at a split is each shredder does left then right then left again. So by times theres three consecutive rights its because all the shredders are sync.

If you don't know where a boss will spawn and want to prep for it, try saving up money so you can deploy towers as needed. That's assuming you're not struggling, anyway, in which case you might not be able to afford to.

you need the 2for1 - quality over quantity card - it increases crit HUGE. plus university, spread over the upgrades - it's cheaper. buy all the base uni squares, and 1 click on each uni , and keep going back around

you use the universiti wrong you should always buy the cheaper one first not rise one to 20% you spend so much more to get the same 1% it' cheaper to have 2 at I dont want to do the math but probably 14%-15% than one at 20%
