SHREDDING MY 90'S HUSQVARNA 610 IN THE MUD

The weather in the UK has let us down twice this week and we had to make new plans, so the Husquvarna 610 has been resurrected for a morning out in the mud,

I raced my 610 at weston a couple times and the only bike that passed me was a 650 Husaberg I remember passing loads of top riders on their 500 2 smokes .

I completed the restoration on my 1994 610 WXC recently. I love those bikes. Have you found anybody to restore it for you yet? I'd be willing to do it. That's if you'd be willing to send it to America. I had to come back and edit this comment. I just watched some more of your 610 videos. I'm glad you found somebody to restore it. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Billy once you have got the carb set correctly and always get the kick start to the top of the stroke the 610 will start easy and you can also modify the bike with a different cam to do away with having to use the decompression lever every time . I would could restore it for you would be a pleasure to see you riding a old husky . Be ideal for West super mare you could wheelie down the straight and still beet everyone else .

Loved my 610’s! I owned a few in the 90’s and I wish is still did. Great torque and relatively slow revving nature made them great for both the sand to the east and mud to the west of here. Don’t miss the high left kickstart though…

I'm still rocking two SM570Rs (one roadbike and one racebike). I have the ex-HM Racing motor in the roadbike at the moment as the roadbike ate 3rd gear (6-speed close ratio box gears are hard to find now) and needed valve guides and new piston pin. It's got the later 510 dual cam head retrofitted, bigger hi-comp piston, FCR flatslide carb, etc, so it's a monster. I rebuilt it around 5 years ago after it ate 4th gear that time. I have everything now to rebuild the monster motor again, so hoping to do that soon (the HM Racing motor has never been apart in my time). Give me a shout if you want to come up and check some stuff out (north of Aberdeen) or discuss stuff over the phone. Reece @ Husky Sport always been great to me for parts, also Taliesin Racing and Paul @ Motosupplies too.

On the farm we have I think a 78 390wr 2 stroker that is in prime condition and it still rips!! Actually for a 2 shocker it rides great!! I am going to by it from my friend and have it gone through and start riding it again!

You need to get the husky to my place in France, got plenty of fields to plough and green lanes with tractors to dodge. I ride a similar '99 ktm 620 sx and there is room here to make good use of all those gears ✌️🔥
