Love the video. I run a 13 tooth sprocket on the front and a 49 tooth on the rear. The 390 runs brilliantly on the the technical terrain with that combo. Cheers Louis.

Louis Dimech I did 50 with my 430 and totally agree...bye bye flame outs. Good to know 49 would work.

That's kind of how I feel about my KTM 350 XCF-W.... Over 10 MPH you don't feel the weight and the bike is phenomenal. The motor is so linear and tractable. The bike makes everything easy and faster than it should be. But when I do an Enduro that is tight virgin trail and the speeds fall below 10 MPH you really start to feel that top heavy weight and managing the motor at the low revs seems like it's more work than it should be. I think I might give an XC-W a try this year.

Kyle, I know that Beta gave you a 390 loaner but, if you ever get a chance to try the 430, I think you’d like it better. The 390, as I’m sure you’re aware, has a longer stroke and is slower to rev. It always sounds like it wants to stall at low speeds but rarely does. I found the 430 to have a lighter overall feel and the engine spun up a bit faster making slow technical riding feel more natural. Give one a try and I don’t think you’ll have any complaints!

The slow technical stalling is exactly why my 500 got a rekluse. I'm not really happy with the heavier pull, or the the feel of it, but it did fix the flame outs.

Rekluse is for those, who can't ride.

Absolutely love your vids. would love to see a tx 300 review some time

That was exactly my impression of that bike. In the slower more technical stuff, it's slow handling and heavy feeling. Great for a dual sport though. Bet that thing wore you out!

The closed cartridge forks on a race edition Beta are suited for higher speeds/faster pace/faster rider compared to the open cartridge forks of an RR-S bike. Something you should consider in your evaluation.

I had my eye on these for a plated trail bike, wound up keeping old faithful wr250r and p/u 250xcw, still on the fence w/ 1 do-it-all vs. 1 all trail, 1 dual sport...

Rode all of the 4-stroke Betas, and the 350 was the easiest to ride. It had a nimbleness that was missing with the other models. The power delivery was exciting yet very manageable in the woods.

Idaho looks like great ridding. Kyle have you ever rode on the east coast?

Just one more year til i graduate and can finally get a new bike! Love Beta's but i think im gonna spring for the new Gas Gas EC300. Had a chance to ride a 2018 and it was too good.

Excellent video (as always). Do you think the 350 RR would be better for those slower, rockier, technical sections?

Are these trails Kyle in this video and other videos rides, only for motorcycles, allowed for motorcycles or are they riding without an access? Or Can you ride anywhere where you want in USA? Thank you

Hi Kyle Brandon here from AUS... any plans to test out the new beta 200rr 2 stroke ????
@dalaipanda46885 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a hearing issue that would be solved by changing sprockets, remember it has lots of top end so gearing it back won’t stop you doing he fast fire trails. What is the standard gearing on the bike 13/48 I think?

Does that beta feel like a 450?? And does it stalls at slow speed like in technical terrain
@A1soldiersaint5 жыл бұрын
It doesn't to me. On the same closed course, tight woods single track, I was faster on the 390 than the 300rr and much faster than any KTM I rode. But if I was just cruisin it might not have felt as comfortable? IDK.

Kyle gave the 390 the coveted "bad mamma jamma" status. Lookout! When God created single track, mankind smiled. When Man created 2 track, God face-palmed. My apologies for my trolling of this channel.
