You asked about delay. Yes there is delay but there is a specific way to go about this in a stream or video, this is how Harry Mack does it when he wants to freestyle over someone's beatboxing or live playing. At the end of the day, you want the end result (what your audience hears), to be in sync. So the one who streams (in this case, Herman) should be in sync with the other side (Dooo) the way the sound is coming to him (and the audience). The other side's (Dooo's) job requires them to be able to play without being affected by hearing back an out of sync tune. He "sends" his sound, it is delayed and as Herman receives it, he plays along with what he hears. But yes, Dooo probably hears an out of sync melody from Herman. What troubles me though is that I think the backtracks are on Herman's side (although it would make more sense to be on Dooo's side for the above reasons). So how can Dooo sync up with that? Regardless of if they are playing together or not. Maybe (for those who know) playing Rocksmith, which has a delayed register, forcing him to play notes earlier so they can register at the right time, has taught him the skill to play in sync with streams lol. This is mostly a joking speculation, but I can't say I would be surprised if Dooo did that knowing how many times I have been left baffled by him lol.

Great explanation here, wow. It makes a lot more sense! I'm still super impressed with how it sounds knowing there's delay even if it's manageable lmao. That being said you're 100% right, everytime I react to a new video of his I'm more and more impressed by the dedication to his craft and his knowledge of music theory, the guy is a legend. As I said in the reaction not only can he hang with guitarists such as Herman Li but I think it'd be fair to say he's on par with him !

Herman Lee is quite a bit a better guitar player than The Dooo. don’t get me wrong, he is good, but Herman Li is quite a bit better. Herman Li can do things that. The Dooo just can’t do yet.
