Shredding Winsor Trail | SF, N.M. 9 Mile downhill - Longest downhill in New Mexico?

Ok, do you like downhill mountain biking? Do you like changes in scenery (Alpine to rugged rocky). Then this video is for you. This is the longest downhill located in Santa Fe, N.M. Stick with the video, I hope to make interesting for you.
Depending on which app and website you look up, this trail can be 6-9.5 miles of downhill trail and that is based on where you start from and where you decide to be picked up.
I recommend you do a shuttle. Either someone drops you off at the start and they pick you up at the end. Or, one person in the group can drop their vehicle at the top and other can leave their vehicle at the end.
The trail runs really fast in many sections and has long extended downhill, so much so, that you might have to pull over and rest those hands from gripping that speed!🤙
I've left links to the trail systems on either most popular apps that can be run while you are on the trail to confirm your location so you know you are on the right path.

A fellow Nuevo Mexicano here, but long gone to New Zealand. I miss NM every day. Made me who I am. It's good here too, and my son is enthusiastically a Kiwi, so I will remain. Crazy, but I've only ridden the lower Winsor despite being an avid rider since the early 90s. Snowpack remained that day so I rode up until it was too slippy. I recall it wasn't my happiest climb, but a day off is always a good day. I hope the riding up in Las Vegas is still awesome. That's where I came up riding. NO CROWDS!

Great video! The trail looks awesome. Lots of terrain changes in there. Good technical sections and some fast, flowy sections! Nice work using the different camera angles to try and show the steepness and features a bit better. That is a nice long decent that is for sure! Noticed the 360 camera so I was wondering what cameras you are using? Keep on rolling!

Thank so much for watching. I was using the hero 9 and insta 360 one R. Still really difficult to capture steep and technical terrain with action cameras, they’re not truthful.

@@travelthenarrowtrail8660 Nice! I haven't used a hero 9 yet or the insta 360 one R. I am currently using the hero 8 and I have been pretty happy with it. You're correct in saying that the action cameras do not capture the steep very well at all. I do find that not using a gimbal on the chest mount helps a tiny bit, but still never does it justice.

@@TrueRouteResearch Hero 8 is still a really amazing camera and to be honest, I think it edges out the hero 9 when using "go pro color." No it may not have lens mod capability or horizon leveling but the upgrade to the H9B is minimal.
