Shree Siddaganga Mutt : The Valley of Love

Located about 57 miles from Bangalore, Sree Siddaganga Mutt in Tumkur is a unique gurukula with a history of over 700 years. More than 10,000 young boys - mostly first generation learners are given free education, food and housing.
Sri Sri Dr Shivakumara Swamiji helmed the Mutt for nearly 8 decades and has left an indelible imprint with his leadership and sacrifice.
Sri Siddalinga Swamiji came to the Mutt to study and serve his guru. Two decades later, he was anointed as an able successor.
The Valley of Love is a documentary on this rare spiritual center, where harmony, tolerance and community living blend without any bias of caste, creed or religion - based on the teachings of Basavanna, the 12th century social reformer.
MAYA Films traces the legacy of this Mutt, and showcases the growth of the Mutt in these present times.
