On May 25th 2018, during Battle of the Grades at my high school, all students (which included Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12) came together to watch one of the greatest animated films of all time, Shrek.
This was the most entertaining and funniest day for BOTG 2018 and I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to record everyone’s reactions to one of the most popular meme/movies with its titular character, Shrek.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to get that much of everyone’s reactions to Shrek. I was only able to capture a bit of the opening and most of the ending.

@@lickmyloafbruh 2 things 1. i wish we got to see the crowd react to ogres are like onions and the bad reputation part and when he says i have to save my ass and the whole first part of the hallelujah song 2. i can't believe 9th graders are allowed to watch this with teachers present during a school event...its a bit risky...like i am not a prude but some of those kids are like barley 15 or possibly still 14....its not a typical pg comedy kids animated movie that a school should allow to show

*Man, this whole reaction to this fucking amazing movie is just pure unadulterated joy throughout. Enjoyed every second of it rewatching it a few weeks back and seeing so many people enjoy as much as I did is really something else.* Also, *it would've been even more awesome if you guys could watch Shrek 2 as well, definitely the perfect sequel to the first Shrek and honestly the best Shrek film to date. If you do get to watch Shrek 2, could you please record some specific amazing scenes/highlights like you did here?* That'd been awesome if you could. BBrostik Hey, just wanted to inform that tomorrow is Battle of the Grades again for my school and that there’s a possibility that we may be watching a movie again. And if it turns out to be Shrek 2 then I’ll definitely record the audience’s reactions to it (IF the students do so). However, at this point of time I’m not sure if it is going to be Shrek 2 or not, if it isn’t then I have to see if this other specific movie would be worth an audience reaction to record, and I’m also not sure if we will be watching a movie as an entire school. I’m also not sure if it’s happening in the morning time or afternoon because in the afternoon I have to go to Duel Credit which is at College and if the movie ends up being in the afternoon and it’s Shrek then i won’t be there to record an audience reaction to that unfortunately.. But nonetheless, I only came back here just to let you know that, at least feel a bit excited, only if it turns out to be that ;)

RagingGamer127 That would be a pretty good reaction to capture indeed! The only thing is that this year’s BOTG did not have a movie day (during BOTG week) for the entire school to watch, and I’m unsure if that would happen again for next year’s BOTG or not. And also, it may be a possibility that next year would be my last year at my high school (as I’m heading into Grade 12 this September) and if Shrek 2 is not the chosen movie for that then there won’t be an audience reaction video unfortunately. I’m hoping that next year’s BOTG will have a movie day during the week and it would be Shrek 2, as it would bring a great reaction from the students

Livid_Gunslinger the next Battle of the Grades (where on one of the days of that week, the school would put on a movie for the entire school to watch) will be happening next year during May I believe, so there’s still hope that we may have the next movie be Shrek 2. The only reason there isn’t a Shrek 2 audience reaction is because we didn’t have a movie day during BOTG week this year and so far I cannot be sure if we are doing a movie for next years BOTG. I’ll update more on what’s happening when BOTG arrives again

I loved this, it's cool to see an audience cheer, clap, and sing along to a movie from my childhood. 2018 is actually when I watched all of the Shrek movies for the first time in years, it was probably my first time watching them since 2011 or 2012, so it was almost like watching them for the first time all over again. Not only because of that, but I wasn't a kid anymore, I was a teenager in 2018, so when I watched those movies there were a lot of adult jokes that I didn't understand as a kid, so that added more value to the experience feeling like the first time all over again. There is supposed to be a reboot of the Shrek movies happening sometime in the future, so if that comes true, I'm curious what the audience reactions are gonna be like. EDIT: Oh snap, you have Shrek 2 Audience Reactions on your channel too, I better check that out.

Lol, this audience reaction was recorded in my school auditorium when I was still in high school. I was only able to record one moment from the beginning of the film and most of the ending. Most of everyone’s reactions to the ending of the film are real alongside one moment from the all star scene, while some other clips I’ve recreated to reimagine what some parts were like when the students have reacted to them (so some of the clips are not real while most of the ending is real). It would be amazing if someone had a audience reaction recorded for Shrek back in 2001.
