It’s funny how even without Shrek, Charming still didn’t get to Fiona in time. So he and Fairy Godmother were doom to fail anyway and probably made business in another kingdom.

It's more Likely that in That Timeline since Fiona was no longer royalty, charming and the fairy godmother didn't bother with her Or when Charming tried, the Dragon was still there and the dragon killed, him it's either of the two

Well, it's because the fairy godmother wanted the Far Far Away kingdom for herself, and used her son to do so. But! Since Fiona's parents signed the kingdom to Rumpelstiltskin and immediately disappeared, this means that for them saving Fiona was not worth it anymore, since they wanted Fiona to get to the parents and then get the kingdom, that's why Charming didn't save her. Without Shrek in this universe, she kept waiting and waiting until she had enough and escaped.

This movie is so underrated. I love all the twisted parallels to the original, the villain is great, and I appreciate them going for a more dramatic tone. I consider this a near perfect conclusion to the franchise.

This one had my favorite antagonist out of all the Shrek movies, Rumplestiltskin was hilarious and it was so refreshing to finally see an antagonist who actually had a brain, and Rumplestiltskin's brain worked so well, he was so smart, clever, good at manipulating and finding loopholes in words and sentences, he definitely contributed a lot to making Shrek Forever After good

I feel this movie closes Shreks character arc, in which he started off as enjoying being alone and feared and starting to miss that old life, until in the end he has friends and family that he loves now. Kudos to the reality wish concept and few callbacks to the 1st movie.

Two lessons learnt from this finale. 1. Rumpelstiltskin is the sick, twisted mix of Lord Farquaad, Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming. 🤢 2. Sometimes you don't know what you got, UNTIL IT'S GONE. So take a step back and give your loved ones a hug or two because you'll never know if today is your last day. 🤗

Shrek didn't meet Donkey and Fiona on the same day. After Shrek met Donkey, he stayed at his house over night. By the next day, they are in Duloc and receive Lord Farquaad's quest to rescue Fiona. While we don't get an exact time on how long it took from Duloc to the dragon's keep, we do see two nights pass on the way back with Fiona.

After Shrek the Third didn’t preform so well, audiences didn’t really like Shrek anymore. But, I and Dreamworks still had hope for the franchise. This movie is actually not as bad as everyone kinda thinks it is. I actually find it kind of a good way to end the franchise. In some countries, they even call this “Shrek Forever After: The Final Chapter”. And you have to admit, this did actually feels like a final chapter. (Until, the Puss in Boots movies came along)

8/10 Shrek Forever After should be a great way to end an iconic series I've now seen all four Shrek movies in first run in theatres. The first two were great and the last one wasn't so bad to me but this one, which should be the last one considering the way it ends, had a little more heart in characterization that got me quite touched which probably shouldn't surprise anyone who's read many of my comments under my username if they know that my favorite movie is It's a Wonderful Life since there are many elements here inspired from there. Kudos, as always, to the voices of Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, and especially Mike Myers, for providing great pleasure these characters have provided me over the years. Seeing the character of Rumpelstiltskin as the villain was quite a good new twist here. And having the witches battle the ogres was also an exciting touch. And how about the way Puss in Boots lets himself go... Okay, I'll just say I highly recommend Shrek Forever After. And so long, Far Far Away...P.S. This was another animated movie I enjoyed watching in 3-D.

Definitely a lot better than the third film. The story was more interesting, Rumpelstilskin is a fun villain, and some great jokes here and there (Fat Puss eating Gingy is one of the darkest yet most hilarious jokes in the series). It also has tons of fun with the "It's a Wonderful World" premise by twisting the characters. Although for a 90 minute film, I think it tries to cover a bit too much ground.

This movie taught me that marriage or having friends or kids or becoming famous isn't all that bad it could be some people's dreams to make their lives more unique! Fiona is a great wife to Shrek and Shrek's kids love their parents so much! Being single is a different thing in life but having a family kinda makes it more better! Wishing things back they were is actually wrong because you don't know what is like to be single or becoming a stranger! Family is everything that some people need because they don't want be alone! Single is everything that some people need because they want to be alone but for me this is just too much! Marriage is good when it comes have a good special someone and gentle matured kids!❤ Single is nothing to me but everything to someone else who doesn't want to get married and will actually he or she is irresponsible! I do not believe marriage is prison as some people say annoys me! Marriage is all about starting a family and living together in a household! 6:56 this is the first time I have ever heard someone call this overstimulating i have been to a birthday party for two of my cousins who were celebrating their fifth and eighth birthday at a Peter pipers and it felt kind of overwhelming especially with my youngest sister and so many of my younger cousins and second cousins (I am autistic so I have to constantly deal with my overstimulating issues it honestly makes me wish I was normal so that life can be easier) I am properly going to be in the minority but I am not a fan of this movie because sometimes I worry that my dad thinks his life was better before I was born because I know that me and one of my sisters are hard to understand due to us being on the spectrum and the other one trying to make sure she passes her final year of middle school and I saw the movie It’s a Wonderful Life last Christmas and didn’t enjoy the story and this movie is very clearly a reference to that movie

To me this is a half and half Shrek movie like it wasn’t as good as the first 3 but it did have some decent lessons in it like we saw how Shrek was going through a mid life crisis by the stresses of being a parent and by repeating the same day all over again till eventually he just snapped and he thought his life would have been better if he didn’t meet Fiona or his friends or even having his children but wasn’t case and so this whole movie basically teaches the lessons on why you shouldn’t make deals with the devil and that you should always appreciate the things you have in your life which is what Shrek learns. Also I loved how Fiona looked like badass warrior princess 👸 and we saw a whole lot of other ogres and rumple was very cool new villain but I didn’t like fat Puss he didn’t look as cool as he usually does 😞 so happy you finished all the films and can’t wait to see the movie reactions you guys do together 😊😁💚💚
