I really like this product. I find that it is warming and makes my hair silky. I don’t really need to use conditioner after or just a couple of sprays from a leave-in. I agree, it is a bit difficult to apply, but I usually cup my hand, squeeze it in, get really close to the lengths of my hair and pour it on. I also leave it in for longer than 8 seconds, usually around 15-20 so maybe that’s why it works better for me. Thanks for your review tho! You popped up in my feed a few weeks ago and I enjoy your content.

@@HelenAvery well, it's kinda changing as I get older, but fine to normal and it's a tad on the wavy side. In your puroligy review I remember that you said something about your hair not doing great with protein's. And I believe it has the same kind of protein that puroligy has. I wonder if that's why it didn't do good with your hair. Plus, you hair isn't damaged at all, so it had nothing to fix lol. I think your hair is BEAUTIFUL!

True.. but for people who have fine dry hair.. it's not just an ends problem... it's lenght too. So we need a lot of moisturizing quality products.. which with most of the products don't rise up to their claims.

I really liked this product and when I say I’ve tried everything; I have tried everything! To give you an idea of my hair type: it’s medium coarseness, extremely long, frizz-prone hair that’s naturally wavy to the point it falls in spiral curls, and it’s thinning - my hair used to be so thick I constantly complained about it, despite my mom and others telling me how much they wished they had it. I couldn’t blow dry it or anything without HUGE frizz. Anyway, I really wish I had found this product sooner. If your hair is anything like mine now, or before it thinned out, I’d definitely recommend trying it out! What it did for me: It calms frizz and smoothed my split ends like nothing else I have ever tried. I don’t know how it would work on very fine hair, (like my moms). Tips to use effectively: I don’t use it all the way up to my scalp. Your hair should be wet, first and then apply the product about 3/4 of the way up and work it through to the ends. It’s very thin, and watery so it doesn’t take much product to saturate your hair, and it works extremely fast - so you should either squirt some into your palm, then apply or if your hair is long enough, hold it out and squirt a double amount (I think 20 - 40 ml or more if you have extremely thick hair)- there’s a measurement on the side of the bottle to easily see how much you’re using. You SHOULD DEFINITELY feel it warm as it comes into contact with your wet hair/water. It’s water-activated. The point is to coat all your hair strands. I wouldn’t use a ton at a time, as it would likely leave a residue, but use it AFTER shampooing, and give it a light rinse as soon as it starts to cool off. If the water in your shower is too warm, you might not feel it as well. It’s always recommended to use warm, not hot water on your hair. I use cool water as a final rinse, as I find it does make a difference and my hair tends to be shinier/the shaft seems to seal better, or maybe swell less with water. I don’t recommend it for: hair that’s very darkly or recently dyed (darkened, as it adds to the hair, as opposed to being lightened with bleach which removes from the hair) I don’t think there’s much room for the product to fill in the hair shaft when it’s dyed. The darker or more bright/vibrant the color, the more is added to the hair shaft. Same goes for toned hair. Also, if you’re using it with other products, like heavy conditioners or cleansing/clarifying shampoo that strips product from your hair Hope this helps! 😊

This is to be used as a protein treatment so I do my protein treatment every 3 months and it's very important to do a deep conditioning treatment after a protein treatment I'm surprised your hair didn't break off this is why having these kind of products being able to be bought just off the store shelf are so scary because people just don't know how to use them after I do my protein treatment not only do I do a deep conditioning treatment I put my microwave cap for 2 hours keeping it warm for the first 20 or 30 minutes then adding watter and more of the conditioning treatment as needed make sure the conditioning treatment that you're using does not have protein
@katiebelles3810

This is actually a protein treatment??? I just used it today and I was wondering what exactly it is because like as soon as it hit my hair ,and I mean INSTANTLY...it turned HOTTTT!! Like seriously enough to scare me I only used not even half of what is supposed to be used but it did make my hair silky and detangled but it scared me because becoming hot like that is obviously some sort of chemical reaction.. I am so glad I decided to go ahead and use a regular deep conditioner and actually wanted is not loaded with protein.
@markoh3106
@markoh3106 2 жыл бұрын
@@katiebelles3810 The warming feeling is intentional and it is not a sign of a harmful reaction. It says even on the product description "You may feel a slight warming sensation when the product activates upon contact with water". The warmth helps the ingredients to penetrate deeper. The wheat protein in the product is modified version and it does not cause hair breakage even if you used it very often. The molecules of the ingredients cumulate on damaged parts of hair but on those parts that are intact or already filled with reconstructing ingredients are are not affected. This is due to electrostatics of the ingredients. The damaged parts of the hair are negatively charged which attracts positively charged molecules of the product on them. If the damaged part is already laminated with positively charged molecules, the same happens as with magnets when you try to stick two similarly charged magnets together; they repel each other. This prevents overdosage of protein in the hair. Not all proteins cause breakage anyway due to differences in mechanism of action. However, the instructions of this product in question are telling to continue with a conditioner of your choice after this treatment. So this lamellar treatment is not a conditioner but needs to be followed with one.

Off first impression, it almost makes me wonder if it's a hair gloss marketed as something else. I used a hair gloss long time ago. It basically just coats the hair and makes it smooth but it's all just a mask. I wouldn't use it anymore. Just a little argan oil mixes with a protein free conditioner and it hair is smooth and glossy without the huge chemical commitment. And if that's the case and it is a hair gloss, I doubt that it's good for your hair roots at all as it could possibly suffocate them.

Maybe your hair is frizzy because its secretly curly/wavy! I'm supposed to have wavy/curly hair but I'm lazy lol so I treat it like straight hair and it gets really frizzy unless I use no frizz products And yes I've used the Monday shampoo and conditioner and at first itd moisturize my hair and make it super soft and manageable and then after the 3rd use it made my hair extremely dry and fizzy like so dry to the point where it was hard to brush through and I'd get tangles in the shower. I found that tressime karitin smooth shampoo and conditioner works really well for me. As does garnier fructis pure clean hair reset with their charcoal shampoo for oily hair and their moisturizing conditioner.

It kinda made my hair like dry feeling especially on my scalp did I just not wash it out all the way or did I ruin it by adding conditioner Edit: tbh now that I'm moving my hair and kinda playing with it it feels more bouncy idk if that makes sense but before using this I'd hold a chunk of my hair up and it stick out then curve but now it curves right at my fingers. Honestly the top of my head feels a little dry but when I put my fingers in my hair it's kinda soft. Maybe it's a good thing bc of my oily hair lol my end ends still stick out a little bit but I think that's mainly because I only used it once

I just came across your video searching for reviews about the product. I wonder whether you might be reacting the protein in the product. I follow the curly girl method and a huge part of it is a moisture protein balance. What you are describing sounds like a protein overload which makes hair feel frizzy rough. Not all hair reacts well to protein especially when it isn’t damaged or colour treated.
@janeturner4212

I'm thinking the alcohol ingredients mean it's probably not curly girl friendly
@orangefox5121
@orangefox5121 2 жыл бұрын
If one uses normal shampoo - there is no “ protein/moisture imbalance” as so called balance is caused by curly girl method itself, which is banning normal shampoos and therefore leads to product buildup - either emulsifiers are build up ( wrongly attributed to “ moisture”) or protein rich ingredients. Both imbalances are cured instantly when you clarify your scalp and hair with a normal, sulfate containing shampoo. And yes, I tried curly girl method and know all of it’s pittfalls.
@Hellkittenn

If this is a protein treatment... be verryyyy careful with proteins. Protein overload is no joke. My hair was dry and frizzy and would tangle so badly and I couldn't figure out why because I was using lots of moisturizing products too. About 8 months ago I cut out all protein ingredients from my hair except for maybe once a month when I heat style and my hair is so silky and shiny and smooth now. I honestly didn't think it was possible and wouldn't have assumed protein was my issue.
