It's going to keep falling if they don't tighten the laws to keep these violent offenders off the street. No one wants to live in a city, whereas the lawmakers take sides with criminals. You can't even pause at a redlight too long, can't work, can't walk, can't shop, can't run, can't party, can't even feel safe in your own home anymore. Poor little Beale Street is suffering severly. Memphis will soon be Detroit if they don't catch grips.😢

A shrinking population can be a bad thing for the city and county mainly because your most hard working and due diligent citizens deems another location more worthy of there time and efforts. So we are essentially losing citizens that has or can make Memphis and Shelby county a better developed geographic.

I don't care if the job pays a $1000 a week. Some people are not willing to go outside snd get randomly killed, snatched, robbed or rapped.

Everyone I know born and raised in Memphis are leaving as fast as they can.Hence look at the homes for sale/sold. All Law abiding tax paying citizens will be gone. Everyone is sick and tired of the lawlessness.Shame,it use to be a beautiful city but only continue to get worse.

I live in the Nashville area and I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of 901 escapees here. Memphis is losing its clout, status, and significance. You're exactly right about the lawlessness.

In a country where mass shootings have become commonplace, I always ask where are these people moving where they think their safety is guaranteed? I say move if you want new scenery. Move if you’ve got better job opportunities. Do you know where you’re going to? Do you like the things that life is showing you?
