I absolutely love Shrinking-it actually inspired me to start therapy! I also want to mention how much I enjoyed listening to the interviewer. She seemed genuinely engaged, truly listening, and had a clear appreciation for the show and its details.

Agree. Finally an interviewer who knows background without constantly looking at notes.

The interviewer was a recapper on Television Without Pity and is on Pop Culture Happy Hour, the lady cares about her TV

Shrinking is such a relatable show for so many reasons. The second season was amazing and each actor brought so much to the show. Fabulous writing!

I started watching Shrinking a couple months ago on the day that my dad was diagnosed with end-stage pancreatic cancer. I was so lost and broken and I didn't know what else do. He died two weeks later, and this show helped me get through it all. That first season was the absolute perfect mix of dark and poignant and absurdly funny that I needed. It truly felt like going to therapy. I'm not as young as Alice, but I'm closer to her age than the age I thought I would be when I lost a parent. Paul's storyline with his daughter was also a massive heavy hitter and helped me understand what that experience might have been like for my dad. My husband actually pointed out a couple of times when I was cackling out loud, at a time when it seemed otherwise impossible to feel anything but paralyzing grief. Amazing job by the team that created this show.

I haven't laughed so much for a television show as I have for Shrinking. Everyone knocks it out of the park, and we get to see a side of Harrison that you don't normally see. Plus Jessica and Michael are a pair of dynamos. So much fun to watch.

The shows voice and sense of humor is similar to Ted Lasso, which makes sense because it's the same writers. Huge fan of their style and heart they put into the story.

Jason Segel making the hilarious comment: We were going to call it How I Killed Your Mother! December seems to be the season everyone is doing interviews for movies or TV shows!

I enjoyed listening to Jason and Brett. They were insightful, fun and gracious. I did not like the interviewer. She talked too much and just seemed unprepared with her questions. It took several minutes of her espousing something before she would get to the question. It was all about her.

Nonsense

Huh. That isn’t what I saw at all. I thought she brought out a lot of interesting thoughts from them

This interviewer sure does love to over explain and drone on without ever getting to the point. Just ask your questions and get on with it, ruined what should’ve been a great interview.

Agreed, she overexplains her questions. At the end of each question I was as lost as Jason and Brett

I know that it's trendy to specifically hunt for anything that's even the slightest bit negative and then point it out online, but what if it wasn't? I bet that was really fun and nerve-wracking for her and she was very good when she was a bit less nervous and I hope she doesn't come on here all excited/anxious to re-live her experience only to be trashed by someone who finds weird joy in making the world just a little bit worse.

Pretentious NPR lady ruins a fun conversation. If you can get past her often long winded yet inane questions these guys are fun and insightful.
