So Asia society could not find any indigenous people from East Asia - China, Korea, Japan Taiwan. Indonesia etc. This panel has a Pakistani, an American, and 2 Indians. This is the most insidious ploy against India if any. India gives and has given some of the widest legal and constitutional rights to 'indigenous' people. Look at the non-existent Indigenous rights in countries as advanced as Japan and Taiwan. I do not even need to mention what China does. The Pakistani woman should be slapped out of the room simply because she dared to moderate a panel on indigenous rights given the state of indigenous communities and minorities in Pakistan. So many projects get blocked because of these activists which have severe short and long-term consequences. Environmentalism cannot be blindly followed at the cost of development. The guy who asked the economics question did not get any answer at @46:50. Only narrative. This is why I don't trust this BS! Edit: I am not against any of the speakers. I respect them. However, I suspect anyone who interacts with America and the UN for issues such as indigenous rights and climate-related issues. They use these issues to bring down governments and create cycles of violence. The amount of missionary work that has flown into northeast India from the USA along with the US's keen interest in the drug economy there makes every Indian suspect the USA. All of this is slyly skirting the line of thought of independence and autonomy. This cannot and should not be accepted to be driven from USA/UN/West.
