The place where the person interested in her in college sent her something on genital mutilation in Africa, sure it may be wierd but maybe it was a way of just engaging her in topics concerning women and women's issues - possibly to potray himself as an ally for women's issues and thus maybe make her comfortable. I think it is very important for women also to be kind. Men have it tough sometimes a) approaching and b) maybe communicating. So I think it is imp to stop being judgemental or 'wierded out' and just pause for a moment and try and be kind. Its not cool to be unkind or judgmental especially if someone is trying and making a conversation.Everyone does not know how to make the right moves and at least they are trying. If anything, just spell out asking was there a particular reason of mentioning this or if you are absolutely uncomfortable then nicely mention it -instead of just stopping communication or not even having eye contact. It is not cool or respectful for someone who has tried to communicate. Otherwise I am halfway through the podcast and it seems fun.
