@@ShroomFishing yeah i started the morning on the freshwater part of the parra doing some carp fishing ( hadnt had one yet ) got hammered by a 67cm carp then packed the car up and took out my plastics and went fishing in the saltwater end down past the weir and got a 43cm flathead so it was a good morning for me lol i dont catch too many fish per trip

Great video champion. Good to see you catching a few. Went out with my new Daiwa Infeet and caught a few flathead. Using bait junkie grub in camo UV colour. Looks awful but works great. And yes I am loving the rod. So sensitive, I could feel a slim swim tail vibrating. Bloody awsome rod. Great video. 👍👍👍

You look like a good keen fisherman. Just a tip when you release your fish for the best survival rate. Wet your hands before handling the fish or better still use long nose pliers and grip the hook only. Handling fish with dry hands or putting them on a dry surface (rock) will damage their delicate mucus membrane and allow disease in between the scales.

Yes, I've had my best sessions using soft plastics. Small wriggler and T-tail lures seem to do very well there. I've had less success on surface lures; for some reason they really like lures worked down deep.

@@ShroomFishing hey Shroom, probably not more than $400. I do have a rough idea of what I want. So a stradic ci4 2500 paired with a 1-3kg or 2-4kg rod. The struggle I have now is with casting distance with my current set up. I'm not sure if it's a reel, rod or my cast technique.

@@makubex2708 BCF have a sale on the last model of Daiwa TD Blacks at present. The TD blacks are usually about $220 - $240. The Pinster is a 1.5 - 3 kilo 6'4 one piece for $125 or the Wild Weasel is 2-6 kilo for $145. I have the Pinster paired with a Stradic FL 1500 1.5 kilo which I swap out for the 3 kilo Stradic 2500 when going for bigger Yellowbelly. Pairs well with either version of the reel. Great casting and a smooth fighting setup. There are many things that could be wrong with your casting, rod, reel, line weight, cast weight, technique. What are you using at present?
