It's really important to remember that MK is a party game that's heavily luck based. Don't get mad at getting karted, it's not your fault and you really do just get unlucky sometimes. Don't forget to take breaks!

I think the problem with this combo is how "short" the top speed range between lowest and highest. Handling simply gives you more value due to tighter turns and slide boost

Seeing this makes me really want them to bring back the wheelie. Maybe tone it down but for a cart type that's so genuinely much harder to use than inward drift I think it needs a little something extra. Outward drift gets shroomless shortcuts and better handling while inward drift gets better lines and more overall speed.

Inward drift isnt actually that bad. But youre fighting the bike. You have to mirror your entry sequence, if that makes sense. Take a proper racing line. Out, then in, and then just let the bike pull you sideways into the drift. When you get the bike fotated early enough it actually hooks like crazy. Have been able to outdrive the merc with a sportsbike in twisty sections. Out, in, and let the bike just pull you in

Playing on inward drift bikes is like an elite skill. It took me so long to figure out that yes you need to drift but you can also aggressively turn which also gives you a boost. Then it’s a mix and match of both 😭😭 I feel like I’m doing extreme multitasking whenever I play them. Using 100% of my brain power

Tip: (non-tv nintendo) yoshi - standard wheels - B dasher - super glider - any track with many sharp turns - on sharp turns (hopefully long) charge up an ultra mini-turbo and release it at the end of the turn.

I feel like the p-wing/b-dasher/whatever third vehicle has its stats might be harder due to extreme lack of traction. Might be worth testing out.

That would only be difficult on slippery surfaces like dirt or ice. Traction doesn't help on regular road, which is most tracks

MarioKart brings the good and worst out of me at the same time. mostly during online lobbies it always feels like 1vs12. Somehow always get the first red shell within first 10 seconds or get hit by literally everything and everyone and all I get from the draw is 4 mushrooms. Sometimes it's hell but it's a good way to vent Personally I love the Inward but I find it funny how some sharp turns cannot be taken efficiently, and outward vechicles I just can't get used to the hopping xD But Love the MK8D content you bring always with a good vibe

I actually feel more comfortable with inward drift that outward drift. I specifically use King Boo with the Yoshi bike, Leaf wheels, and paper glider. I can understand not being used to a different kind of drift.

I play (dry) bowser, with Jet bike, GLA tires, and Plane glider as my go-to. Essentially, almost exactly the build you play there. Watching you play that at the beginning was actually painful. You were so stiff!

Part of me wishes inward drift or bikes for that matter, had wheelies like wii did, but i also know just how broken that made them and is just a straight upgrade. You can still rotate in hops actually moreso than karts but clearly nintendo showed they couldnt balance the mechanic properly in its conception title, so they removed it from future games.
