Amazing. Looks beautiful. Please make a video showing how to make this.

I may do a tutorial at some point but it’s a tricky one to film as there’s a lot of cords involved. Not that hard to tie but hard to show.

That's beautiful. I don't make anything knotted, but I so admire the process and end results.

No time like the present to start. It’s very satisfying

Certainly appears that you have the "shroud knot" in your pocket...absolutely beautiful !! I notice the spid on the table there...is that one of Mikko's by chance? Can't wait to acquire some of your cordage to try. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge! Always very well presented.

Thanks for your kind words. I’m afraid the cord supply is pretty low. I’ve been to busy trying to keep my day job going. 🤷♂️

Oh and yes the tool is Mikko’s. He makes beautiful tools. I’m luck to have a few of then.

If you can tie a diamond you can tie this.

Philip Le Masurier - I am looking to replace a broken handle on a wire bucket bail. A length of plastic tube would do, but something more elaborate might intimidate the neighbor.

My favorite piece. If I had one that went over my head I'd wear it for a necklace. If I had one that went around my forehead I'd wear Arabian head dress with my other beautiful garb. I really like this piece very much.

You are very kind. Thank you. I also thought a larger one might make a good necklace. I have a smaller simpler one I wear as a bracelet.

@@plemas Wonderful. It is beautiful enough to wear for sure

Nice work! And thank you for the link to bloodknot for the cord. They seem to be sold out right now, of everything, any other sources for good cordage?

Sorry I haven’t been making any cord for most of the year. There’s a possibility I’ll be making some more over Christmas. Fingers crossed 🤞 Miko Snellman makes beautiful cord you could try googling him.

Hi Philip Can you do a tutorial on this I'd love to try and make this
@plemas3 жыл бұрын
I’ll give it some thought. The trouble with it is that the shroud knot has cords coming from both sides. While not overly difficult it is very confusing trying to film it as it tends to look like a mess while being tied.

HI Philip, excellent work as always. They look like over 2 Crown knots am I correct?
@plemas4 жыл бұрын
No, in this case they are all over one

How many lines are in the crown?

From memory it was 6 but it works with any number. It may have been 8. I’m not sure and the piece is not with me at the moment
