As a Christian for over 40 years I have never dreamt about Jesus. About a month ago I had this short but incredible dream. I was crouched in a room crying and said “He did this for me!” I had previously just looked at the sight of Jesus on the cross and His chest was a pale grey colour and his head was turned to the left and he was struggling for breath. He was groaning in agony. In all my life I had never considered Him in so much agony before. To see this in my dream was staggering. I know He is no longer on that cross but the fact He chose to reunite us with the Father via this torture is amazing. Even more incredible is that He bore our sins, knowing the intimate and detailed sin of every human that has ever lived. The took that shame and eliminated it from the Father’s knowledge. It no longer exists as a result of the Cross. Father, I pray that everyone that reads my message and does not know You through the Son will see their salvation, waiting for them at the foot of the cross to receive and become born again through the Lamb of God, Jesus Yeshua.

Here are 3 reasons I don't think it's real. 1) John 11:44 and John 20:7 There were 2 pieces of cloth used for burial in those days. 1 for the head, 1 for the body. 2) The cloth used for wrapping bodies goes cross ways to the body, not long ways. Bodies were never wrapped long ways. 3) If they did wrap it long ways, they would never had gotten the wrap 100% center. The shroud of Turin is 100% center.

💐💐💐💐💐 The Bible says the original shroud was not in ONE piece as in the case of the shroud of Turin. This is why the shroud of Turin is fake: “Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb. They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings.” (John 20:3-7) Also, as a member of the Baha’i Faith, and based on the biblical narrative and rational reasoning, we have to accept that the resurrection of Jesus or any of the prophets or individuals within the biblical narrative that they are spiritual and not physical resurrections even when literal words are used. Here are the biblical reasoning behind what is being said: Jesus called himself “the resurrection” even before he was crucified: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die”. (John 11:25 NIV) This is Jesus himself speaking, so it was the belief in him and his teachings that accounted as true resurrection and not the crucifixion and belief in the reanimation of the physical body. Belief in him and his words revived those who were spiritually dead and brought them forth from their tomb of ignorance. This is all spiritual and not a physical phenomenon. What does the Bible teach about the physical body and resurrection? It says: “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications”… (Hebrew 5:7 KJV) Therefore, the Bible teaches that Jesus had flesh or a physical body during his life on earth but that there came a time when he was no longer in possession of a physical body (he was a Spirit/Soul) . Read the whole chapter so you can see the whole content. What else does the Bible teach about physical body or flesh? Apostle Paul himself stated: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption“. (1 Corinthians 15:50 KJV) Therefore, no physical body which is a perishable biological entity can have any association or entrance into the Kingdom of God. After all, the Bible teaches that: “God is a Spirit” (John 4:24 KJV) and not a physical body, and that the Word which is Christ himself had existed as a Spirit (a nonphysical entity) long before even the creation of what we call earth. The Bible teaches that all that Jesus taught 2000 years ago were all revealed by the Father. Jesus made sure to tell Simon that flesh and blood are not important in this equation--not even his: “Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 16:17 NIV) Everything Jesus Christ taught and spoke, about his flesh and body had a spiritual meaning and cannot be taken literally even though Jesus Christ was using “literal words” (check the Greek lexicon) related to “flesh and blood”: “Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” (John 6:53-58 NIV) Those who took him “literally”, later on they were accused of being cannibals. Read the history and this will become clear to you. Therefore, much of the language that Jesus used must be viewed and interpreted allegorical or symbolic. Jesus taught that it is the spirit that matters and not the flesh. The body has no importance: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life.” (John 6:63 NIV) People had a very hard time understanding the symbolic and allegorical language that Jesus used--this frustrated Jesus often and said: “Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.” (John 8:43 NIV) The phrase, “unable to hear” that Jesus Christ uses is obviously not a literal physical hearing but the inability to hear his words with spiritual hearing. Consider this that if people 2000 years ago had a hard time understanding Jesus Christ, there is no wonder why there are over 43,000 conflicting sects within Christianity. This should humble all Christians. What else can we learn from the topic of resurrection and spiritual truths? Well, Mary Magdalene couldn’t recognize Jesus after the resurrection: “At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” (John 20:14-15 NIV) If this was a “literal”, glorified, bodily resurrection of Jesus, why did he appear like the gardener and was not recognized by Mary? Apparently Jesus did not look glorified, he just looked like someone else--not a shining angel, but like the gardener. We also read that the Lord Jesus Christ appeared quite differently to apostle Paul: About noon as I came near Damascus, suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’ “ ‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked. “ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied.” (Acts 9:4 KJV) Others who were with Paul did not see anything. A physical body is not invisible. Everyone should be able to see it. Moreover, physical bodies cannot go through doors and walls either, but yet, Jesus appears into a room with the disciples when all doors were locked: “A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” (John 20:26 NIV) So, what is my point? The point is Jesus Christ can do whatever he wishes. He can dematerialize from one place and materialize in another place. He can appear as a flash of light from heaven to one person, or as a gardener to another, and he can even eat a piece of fish right in front of you to prove he can do anything. Therefore, we are not questioning what Christ can or cannot do, however, when it comes to the physical resurrection, all the stories we read about his appearances, do not indicate the essential characteristics of the physical body of Jesus Christ as the flesh that he had before his crucifixion, and the Bible in numerous verses makes this very clear. More importantly, if we believe that Jesus Christ has been great eternally in the past without a physical body and long before he was even born, then, he was not in need of a physical body after his crucifixion either, just as Moses and Elijah didn’t need physical bodies either, when they both had appeared to Jesus Christ on Mount Tabor and then vanished from the sight. Why should anyone assume that after Jesus Christ’s physical birth from the womb of Mary, he had, forever, trapped his true eternal reality in some physical body whether it is assumed to be a regular body or some so called glorified body? To insist on this, is tantamount to limiting Jesus Christ to our earthly limitations. The Bible makes it clear that the resurrection of Jesus has much deeper spiritual meanings and should never be interpreted as a literal physical event. Please note that stating that Christ’s resurrection was a spiritual event and not a physical one, doesn’t mean Jesus Christ was incapable of the supernatural powers--it is that Jesus didn’t need any form of a physical body, and that his greatness transcends beyond any connection with the physical reality. Moreover, in numerous passages, the body of Christ has been interpreted to be the body of the believers or the church itself, and therefore, the resurrection is a spiritual reality which demonstrates the spiritual triumph of the cause of Christ, symbolized as a “body” which is none other than the body of the believers rising to promulgate his cause (the body) fearlessly: “And the church is his body”… (Ephesians 1:23 NLT) …”and build up the church, the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12 NLT) “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.“ (Colossians 1:18 MLT) “And we are members of his body.” (Ephesians 5:30 NLT) “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.“ (1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT) Resurrection of all the manifestations of God are spiritual in nature and not physical or material. The Bible says the original shroud was not in ONE piece as in the case of the shroud of Turin. This is why the shroud of Turin is fake: “Peter and the other disciple started out for the tomb. They were both running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he didn’t go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered Jesus’ head was folded up and lying apart from the other wrappings.” (John 20:3-7) Also, as a member of the Baha’i Faith, and based on the biblical narrative and rational reasoning, we have to accept that the resurrection of Jesus or any of the prophets or individuals within the biblical narrative that they are spiritual and not physical resurrections even when literal words are used. Here are the biblical reasoning behind what is being said: Jesus called himself “the resurrection” even before he was crucified: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die”. (John 11:25 NIV) This is Jesus himself speaking, so it was the belief in him and his teachings that accounted as true resurrection and not the crucifixion and belief in the reanimation of the physical body. Belief in him and his words revived those who were spiritually dead and brought them forth from their tomb of ignorance. This is all spiritual and not a physical phenomenon. What does the Bible teach about the physical body and resurrection? It says: “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications”… (Hebrew 5:7 KJV) Therefore, the Bible teaches that Jesus had flesh or a physical body during his life on earth but that there came a time when he was no longer in possession of a physical body (he was a Spirit/Soul) . Read the whole chapter so you can see the whole content. What else does the Bible teach about physical body or flesh? Apostle Paul himself stated: “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption“. (1 Corinthians 15:50 KJV) Therefore, no physical body which is a perishable biological entity can have any association or entrance into the Kingdom of God. After all, the Bible teaches that: “God is a Spirit” (John 4:24 KJV) and not a physical body, and that the Word which is Christ himself had existed as a Spirit (a nonphysical entity) long before even the creation of what we call earth. The Bible teaches that all that Jesus taught 2000 years ago were all revealed by the Father. Jesus made sure to tell Simon that flesh and blood are not important in this equation--not even his: “Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 16:17 NIV) Everything Jesus Christ taught and spoke, about his flesh and body had a spiritual meaning and cannot be taken literally even though Jesus Christ was using “literal words” (check the Greek lexicon) related to “flesh and blood”: “Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” (John 6:53-58 NIV) Those who took him “literally”, later on they were accused of being cannibals. Read the history and this will become clear to you. Therefore, much of the language that Jesus used must be viewed and interpreted allegorical or symbolic. Jesus taught that it is the spirit that matters and not the flesh. The body has no importance: “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life.” (John 6:63 NIV) People had a very hard time understanding the symbolic and allegorical language that Jesus used--this frustrated Jesus often and said: “Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.” (John 8:43 NIV) The phrase, “unable to hear” that Jesus Christ uses is obviously not a literal physical hearing but the inability to hear his words with spiritual hearing. Consider this that if people 2000 years ago had a hard time understanding Jesus Christ, there is no wonder why there are over 43,000 conflicting sects within Christianity. This should humble all Christians. What else can we learn from the topic of resurrection and spiritual truths? Well, Mary Magdalene couldn’t recognize Jesus after the resurrection: “At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” (John 20:14-15 NIV) If this was a “literal”, glorified, bodily resurrection of Jesus, why did he appear like the gardener and was not recognized by Mary? Apparently Jesus did not look glorified, he just looked like someone else--not a shining angel, but like the gardener. We also read that the Lord Jesus Christ appeared quite differently to apostle Paul: About noon as I came near Damascus, suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’ “ ‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked. “ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied.” (Acts 9:4 KJV) Others who were with Paul did not see anything. A physical body is not invisible. Everyone should be able to see it. Moreover, physical bodies cannot go through doors and walls either, but yet, Jesus appears into a room with the disciples when all doors were locked: “A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” (John 20:26 NIV) So, what is my point? The point is Jesus Christ can do whatever he wishes. He can dematerialize from one place and materialize in another place. He can appear as a flash of light from heaven to one person, or as a gardener to another, and he can even eat a piece of fish right in front of you to prove he can do anything. Therefore, we are not questioning what Christ can or cannot do, however, when it comes to the physical resurrection, all the stories we read about his appearances, do not indicate the essential characteristics of the physical body of Jesus Christ as the flesh that he had before his crucifixion, and the Bible in numerous verses makes this very clear. More importantly, if we believe that Jesus Christ has been great eternally in the past without a physical body and long before he was even born, then, he was not in need of a physical body after his crucifixion either, just as Moses and Elijah didn’t need physical bodies either, when they both had appeared to Jesus Christ on Mount Tabor and then vanished from the sight. Why should anyone assume that after Jesus Christ’s physical birth from the womb of Mary, he had, forever, trapped his true eternal reality in some physical body whether it is assumed to be a regular body or some so called glorified body? To insist on this, is tantamount to limiting Jesus Christ to our earthly limitations. The Bible makes it clear that the resurrection of Jesus has much deeper spiritual meanings and should never be interpreted as a literal physical event. Please note that stating that Christ’s resurrection was a spiritual event and not a physical one, doesn’t mean Jesus Christ was incapable of the supernatural powers--it is that Jesus didn’t need any form of a physical body, and that his greatness transcends beyond any connection with the physical reality. Moreover, in numerous passages, the body of Christ has been interpreted to be the body of the believers or the church itself, and therefore, the resurrection is a spiritual reality which demonstrates the spiritual triumph of the cause of Christ, symbolized as a “body” which is none other than the body of the believers rising to promulgate his cause (the body) fearlessly: “And the church is his body”… (Ephesians 1:23 NLT) …”and build up the church, the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12 NLT) “Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body.“ (Colossians 1:18 MLT) “And we are members of his body.” (Ephesians 5:30 NLT) “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.“ (1 Corinthians 12:27 NLT) Resurrection of all the manifestations of God are spiritual in nature and not physical or material. I do have some questions though... if Jesus did not rise from the dead bodily how do you explain the empty tomb? How do you explain Thomas putting his hands in the nail scars in Jesus' hands? How do you explain Jesus eating fish with the disciples? How do you explain the 500 who saw Jesus after death? Can Spirit eat food?

Jesus does not need to prove us any physical evidence because God is Spirit. If you go to Him humbly in repentance, He promises to be with you. Read the Word because Jesus is the Word. For those who say Jesus was not wrapped in a cloth. Read Luke chapter 23 verses 52 and 53. Joseph of Arimathea went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Joseph then took his body wrapped it in a cloth and put it in his tomb.

I saw Jesus once! I was a substance abuse counseling student in the military and we were required to attend and observe several different substance abuse meetings in California. As I was sitting there watching and listening to the meeting, a translucent Jesus stepped into the large room and walked over to a gentleman sitting in the front row, turned away from the man and sat down in him, then disappeared. I was amazed and turned to my right and asked the service member sitting next to me, did you see that? He said, see what, so I said, never mind. I then turned to my left and asked the same thing, but he said the same thing. I then realized that Jesus Christ had blessed me! He is alive and real. The shroud is real!😊

I don't know why this is considered "new" information. Years ago, an exhaustive scientific analysis was made of the shroud. The MSM ignored this study for the most part, but that study showed indisputable evidence that the shroud was 2000 years old and that it had originated in the Middle East. The image was studied and found to have originated from an unknown process which cannot be duplicated to this day. The image was found to contain detailed three-dimensional information which could not be the result of any kind or artistic drawing or painting. All this evidence has been around for many years. Now it is being hailed as an amazing new discovery. It is not new.

This is in Isa. 50:6, where it says "Isa 50:6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting." The Hebrew says literally that he gave his cheeks to the ones plucking. In the NT accounts of the crucifixion, there is no mention of Jesus' beard being plucked out. It simply says that they struck him with their hands and spit on him and flogged him. It is possible, even likely, that there was some hair pulling from his beard, but there is no indication that his beard was "torn out." The shroud is certainly not a fake. There is no human technique or technology that can create the image on the shroud. It cannot be duplicated even today. The shroud is 2000 years old. The people at that time certainly could not have created such an artifact. Impossible.

I have listened to him speak about his certainty of the Shroud's authenticity, being the cloth used to wrap "the Jesus of the gospels", but he always stated that he hadn't become a Christian, Messianic or otherwise. I actually did communicate with Barrie twice via e-mail back in January of 2010, I think, when I had heard him lecture various times on his findings and conclusions when on the research team. So that is very pleasantly surprising news.

The first time I watched a documentary about the Shroud of Turin, the image was determined to have been created by radioactivity. I felt it had to be Jesus. But my excitement was dampened when the documentary also dated the cloth to be from the 1300s. But this video states the carbon dating was wrong, that the fabric was from more than 2000 years ago! That couldn't have been the only piece. The shroud was probably the innermost layer of fabric that touched Jesus' body directly, after which other layers would be wrapped further on the head, torso, legs, etc. Otherwise, what a sloppy burial it would be if the shroud was the one and only one piece wrapped around a corpse, right? A documentary I watched about the Shroud of Turin said scientists describe the image as formed by what would result from a sudden burst of radiation like a solar flare or cosmic ray, causing the fabric to be deeply singed. They have confirmed the image was not created with paint or dye.

Just to be clear, there is no evidence that the carbon dating was 'erroneous.' The dating was accurate. However, it was taken from a piece of the shroud that had been repaired many years after the image was embedded. Several spots on the shroud have been repaired over the many years. Had the sample been taken from a non-repaired section, the carbon dating would likely have been much closer to the appropriate time frame.

There was a separate cloth over His face, the Sudarium of Oviedo. It was directly on His face, underneath the Shroud of Turin. The blood stains of both cloths match each other.

Your own citing of the Bible doesn't contradict the shroud. It seemed such a strange comment I wondered if I'd misread you/the verses quoted,though I couldn't see how. I carefully reread trying to see how it could possibly be any form of contradiction of the shroud, but, no.Did you perhaps misread cloths, or (as rendered in some slightly archaic transactions as ) "clothes" which you have used, as meaning redressed in day to day clothing ? In the manner of most modern burials? In any case, the shroud is not contradicted by the Bible but in fact fits all the Biblical details.

Paint your face, then take a cloth and drape it over your face. PUll the cloth off. You'll notice two things: First, the parts that come in direct contact with the cloth will be dark while the parts that didn't come in direct contact will be much lighter (or not there at all). Second, when you take the cloth off and look at it, you will see that the shape of your face will be distorted. The ears, e.g., will stick out comically. For an anatomically correct shape to be formed, you would need a cloth placed flat on a plane.

That would hold some water if his body was actually wrapped in the shroud when he was resurrected, but it was not. As his image on the shroud clearly proves, he was laid on the bottom half of the shroud and the top half was laid over him.

The carbon dating was wrong at first because the edge of the shroud was used. The shroud survived a fire in a French cathedral about 700 years ago, and the edges were singed. The nuns replicated the exact weave and linen of the shroud to "fix" it.

I was in the Philippines. I saw the blasphemous worship of the statue of Jesus, with the young girls going up and kissing the naked genitals of the statue. Why the Shroud cannot be the shroud of Jesus. - No stains. "...bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds... (Jn 19:38)." There is no residue of these on the Shroud. - Strips not a sheet. "Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen... (Jn 19:40)." The Shroud is a single sheet and not made of strips. - Head piece is separate. "...and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. (Jn 20:7)." The Shroud is made of one piece including the head. - Jesus did not have long hair as seen on the Shroud. "Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? 1Cor 11:14." Also, He was not a Nazarite (who did not cut their hair) because he drank wine, "All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, from seed to skin. Num 6." Jesus DID drink wine, "The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber,... Luke 7:33." He was, however, a Nazarine (from Nazareth). - Dead people don't bleed, yet blood seeps out of small wounds like the head and hands, but not from the large gashes that should be on his back. Blood also seems to be running down his face like he's standing and not laying on his back. Also, Joseph and Nicodimas cleaned Jesus body while preping it and would have cleaned any blood off and since He's dead he would not bleed any more except to drain out - i think. - Body wipped and beaten 39 times with a phagelum. His back should be shredded. - Isaiah says the Messiah's beard will be pulled out? "My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard... (Isa 50:6)" The middle part of the beard is short, or missing, on the Shroud but I don't think this is the same thing. - Isaiah says the Messiah's face will be beaten so badly he would not be recognizable as a man. "So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men... (Isa 52:14)" The man on the Shroud is clearly recognizable and there is a lack of swelling from the beating, no split swollen lip or eyes, etc... - The raising of Lazarus John 11:44 - He was wrapped in strips and the head piece is separate also. "The man who had died came out, his hands and feet bound with linen strips, and his face wrapped with a cloth"
