I found it mainly when a new character comes out like I got two of them on release and both had no hit sounds or execution sounds but the rest of them did so tbh I only noticed the bugs recently, hopefully changes

All Shugoki really needs to shine is increased damage tbh. I always loved his trading play style and how it let you mind game people to hell, but it really does feel rough that he can only do 2 attacks and they still hit like pool noodles at like what is it, 24 damage for the first heavy, 28 for the charged in chain heavy? It's rough, it they fixed that he'd actually be in a somewhat decent place all things considered.

For the amount of attacks and how reactable his kit is, the damage is low. If you are pub stomping people with him you are fighting mid to low level players, if you are in the upper parts of the mid to high tier he falls off like a brick shithouse. He's in the same spot a lot of other characters are where they dominate low to mid lobbies due to the skill issue people have in those places but get outshined and out powered by other characters people are using that have good reactions once you get out of that part of the game. He's kinda like a worse version of JJ without Iframes on his Dodge or Sifu stance.

@@paithen7033 To be fair though he can be really decent in the hands of an absolutely cracked player. I myself maimed him as my 2nd rep 70 after Kensei, so I know just how dangerous he is, it's just after playing characters like Afeers and JJ nowadays he just kinda sits there in a "meh" spot. Not bad, but also not amazing either. Needs slight buffs with his damage and I think he'd be balanced a bit better.

Shugo got improved hyper armor timing on his heavies so its basically impossible to hit him out of his chains on reaction, which leads to his chains being decent now. Still really rough and limited in his kit despite that though, but at least picking him doesn't throw you games like it does with Nuxia.....
