The two most important things in your life are association and location. I have never heard that phrase before in my 41 years, but I’m going to start using it to preach to my nephews. That hit me right in my chest and was so on point. That was a word right there. I left the hood in my city in Louisiana and now I live on the west coast(Las Vegas). I’m a Surgical Technician and I work at a level 1 trauma center. We constantly have bullet ridden young black men on our operating room tables that are bleeding internally and need surgery to try and save their lives. It’s heartbreaking to see them laying there and sometimes they don’t make it because the bullet has severed an artery or vein and there’s nothing more you can do to stop the bleeding and the damage that’s been done. I’m tired as a mom and a healthcare professional and a black woman of seeing these young men die on the OR table. Get out of the ghetto if you can, especially the ghetto in your mind. Make new friends, pray without ceasing and be free.🌹

One of the most down to earth dudes you could meet. We was cuttin up so much I forgot I had customers waiting behind him. So sad this happened to him, it’s put me in a down mood these last few days. Dear Mr. Shuler King I can't put it better than how you've articulated this important message in this uploaded clip; as an African American, to an AFRICAN (SOUTH AFRICAN MEGA FAN OF EVERYTHING AFRICAN AMERICAN ENT.), who is 1 of millions prolly, who follows you and everything Black and African American that impacts the global African diaspora and the world, it's just sad to see what the culture has tried and failed to change. Africans and African Americans are just starting to coordinate for the positive but there are still those loose ends in terms of positive guidance, messages and energies from USA to S.A. and Africa that need to be tapered off and tightened before we can take over the globe at intended. Very well said sir. Not only are we contending with each other in the streets but our men are dying at ridiculously young ages because of their health and the lack of trust in the healthcare system. And trust me I get it I am a nurse and there’s a lot I take issue with but if we can change our mindsets about the street life and our health we would be in such a better position as a community. I don’t even watch TV because my heart hurts for us. We can no longer blame our issues on “the man.” It is us, we have become our own worst enemies. I love you to life Black Man🖤

My grandson is 14yrs. and I’m afraid for him every time he leaves home more so when he’s in school with all the mass shootings happening, we moved to Florida from NY a few yrs ago, but the shootings in schools scare me to no end
