The two most important things in your life are association and location. I have never heard that phrase before in my 41 years, but I’m going to start using it to preach to my nephews. That hit me right in my chest and was so on point. That was a word right there. I left the hood in my city in Louisiana and now I live on the west coast(Las Vegas). I’m a Surgical Technician and I work at a level 1 trauma center. We constantly have bullet ridden young black men on our operating room tables that are bleeding internally and need surgery to try and save their lives. It’s heartbreaking to see them laying there and sometimes they don’t make it because the bullet has severed an artery or vein and there’s nothing more you can do to stop the bleeding and the damage that’s been done. I’m tired as a mom and a healthcare professional and a black woman of seeing these young men die on the OR table. Get out of the ghetto if you can, especially the ghetto in your mind. Make new friends, pray without ceasing and be free.🌹

Very well said sir. Not only are we contending with each other in the streets but our men are dying at ridiculously young ages because of their health and the lack of trust in the healthcare system. And trust me I get it I am a nurse and there’s a lot I take issue with but if we can change our mindsets about the street life and our health we would be in such a better position as a community. I don’t even watch TV because my heart hurts for us. We can no longer blame our issues on “the man.” It is us, we have become our own worst enemies. I love you to life Black Man🖤

This is sad and ridiculous. From my understanding Takeoff wasn't even involved in the dice game or argument, even if he was it's not worth taking anyone's life. I lost an nephew trying to help a young lady get away from her abusive boyfriend you never get over this. This man had a life family and someone chose to play God and take it all away in a second, but I bet when they are caught they're going to beg the judge for their life. Rest Peacefully Kirshnik Khari Ball aka Takeoff may u and your love ones be in my prayers.
