😂😂😂 This REALLY happened to me years ago lol 😂! I had a raggedy car but the wipers didn’t work. I worked in the mall. It started raining SO hard I couldn’t leave lol 😂! I saw security drive by twice and I was so embarrassed. Finally one of them stopped just when it stop raining. Lucky the one that stopped knew me from eating in the food court. If no key holder is there to open up and the crew members show up, then she will indeed get paid. It is policy where I work. So then the opening supervisor that is late/no show will receive a write up. That’s what should happen. Has nothing to do with being Black. If I show up to work, I expect access to the worksite. Yup I had a Matt (his name no lie) at my old job. He would do the same. Had me out there for two hours one day and didn't wanna change my clock in time cause they would look at the cameras ur fucking problem Matt not mine. I was on the bus that day too. I was getting all my time. They ran the camera to see why I had more working hours then Matt for that realized he had been doing this damn near every morning. Took the keys from Matt and throw them to me. Said since u here on time everyday u can be the Manager. I felt every piece of that note. Earlier this year every one showed up to work; no power to the building. They made us wait for 2 hrs before saying we could leave and then acted like we were to use a vacation day if we wanted to get paid for the day. We're not unionized but we damn sure had some demands of our own. I mean, we showed up to work, not our issue if the power was out. If I have to drag myself out of the bed in the morning, spend my time to slap this makeup on and fix my hair, drive to work for nothing, I don't consider that a vacation day....I've already put in a couple hours of work before I pull into the parking lot. We got our paid day though without having to use our vacation time; just took a few dozen calls to corporate HR to make it happen.
