I went from a size 8 to a size 10, from working from home, and went on a job interview with dress pants that were very form fitting. I wore a long blouse that covered everything with a respectable waist length dress jacket... AND I got the job! There is a certain amount of decorum that is necessary for every occasion. it is appropriate for everyday life depend on where you wor and what you are doing. you have to be careful when talking about appropriate, costco is the place for modest non tight apparel because staff can easily sue for sexual harassment. woring at a bar, club it might be different and you cannot see a woman on the street and determine where she is going so you have to be careful how you judge people. this costco situation, school, church, government buildings, certain eatery have dresscode policy one should abide by full stop.

Never worked at Costco, but I used to be a supervisor at call center. Leggings, Jeggings, spandex all the comfortable form fitting pants were absolutely not allowed slacks, skirts over the knee, all dresses over the knee. I had to write someone up at least once a week. It’s work not the club.

There is a dress code and they keep pushing the envelope . Back in the day you would be sent home and get docked a day's pay, written up. If you wanted to be hard headed you got fired. At my job the company gave a three day seminar on business casual wear. A lot of the people they hired came to work in "club wear" " athletic wear" thinking that this was business casual wear. When the CEO brought his little son to work. He was embarrassed that some of the employees had low cut blouses with breast on display, cheeks clapping and thighs exposed in high slit skirts on the elevator with them. This was the main head quarter with a lot of foreign business and diplomats coming for meetings..

I've worked on health-care for 20 yrs and it just amazes how tight the scrubs have gotten over the years. They have all these designer scrubs now with jogger style pants and can be really cute. But, I personally know a few ladies that get their scrub tops altered to ensure they hang just above their butt and then the bottoms are skin tight. And now, with body positivity in full effect, it's not just the smaller women with nice shapes that wear skin tight scrubs. I will never understand how that's comfortable. And lab coats are not standard anymore... stopped wearing mine years ago myself.

THAT PART! One of my female bosses likes to wear her clothes a couple of sizes too small, and she once told me that I wear my clothes too big and that I need to show my body. I know how creepy that sounds, but I have known her for years, and she was definitely not hitting on me, just talking to me like one of her friends. I work in nursing care. My scrub shirt is huge, I buy larges and I am petite but I do wear leggings. However I wear baggy shirts. I don’t feel like my leggings are innapropriate and honestly if someone told me not to wear them I’d get mad. However I wear a very oversized shirt to cover up. I like leggings however because they are the only pants I can easily find that fit me properly. My waist is too small with too big of a butt to easily find regular pants.

It’s not just a couple sizes up. It’s also the type of fabric that you’re buying the closing. Those pants that she’s wearing let’s say they’re a size medium, if she were to go and buy them in a large, they would still be clinging to her skin. If she were to get them an extra large, they were just like baggy around her waist, and they would still be clinging to her legs and thighs. That type of fabric is the issue. That’s why it’s not considered to be a professional or casual Type of fabric. It’s for athletic wear and body-con dresses.

Thank u so much for addressing this Shuler. It is out of control. At my job i cant wear my jeans with holes in them. Cant wear my basketball jerseys. The policy says it is not professional. Against company rukes. I have tried in the past and they sent me home. And im a dude. I knew i was in the wrong. I was testing the waters. But i ddnt go to social media. I have seen many women at my job be asked to change or get sent home. Not all young Either. And not by only older women managers. I work with a vast group of mangers of all ages and races. If a person is wearing clothes too revealing they are askes to change or fix it or go home. I have seen young female managers send women in their 30s and 40s home cuase the women employee was exposing alot of skin. It is against the rules of the comapny. If you do not agree start your own company and u can wear what ever u want. I live in AZ. It is hot af. I tried to see if I could wear what i wanted on a wekend tht harly any management was at wrk. But they was not havin it and i ddnt trip. Cause i was in the wrong. Ppl need to take accountability. This is not a race thing. Not a gender or age thing. Its a professional vs non professional issue. This woman is not a victim.

Yes this young lady is beautiful & shapely. The issue is her clothes are too small & too tight. I can afford to talk. In my days of office work folks were saying behind my back, my pants were too tight for my big behind. I use to wear coulotte skirts & I heard them saying they look like shorts. Also my lipstick was too dark for my complexion. I changed my dress code when I was good & ready. My coworkers were just jealous. No supervisor ever called me. 🧐🤔
