True story- Last Friday I flew to NYC from IAH (Houston). I checked in 24 hours before my flight and did a screen shot of the boarding pass in case my United app flaked on me at the airport. I received status updates from time to time. Everything was cool until I got to the airport. The bad weather on Thursday threw everything off. I was at terminal B but now my Flight was out of terminal D. I wanted to cry. The TSA lady said, “They crazy. They under construction and don’t know what they doing”. Thankfully I was early and had time to take the train to the other terminal. 😅

I missed a flight from Atlanta, did off-airport parking, only had a carry on AND was 2 hours early. We had to walk from the South to North Terminal TSA check in cause the South Terminal (Delta) was just that busy. Dont play with Atlanta. I'm showing up on Sunday for my Monday flight next time.

Actually depends on the airport; a small regional airport that rarely gets many fares and it has 2 runways, you good. HOWEVER, don’t try that with LAX, Hartsfield, Dulles, JFK, O’hare….etc. you WILL be left! And if you flying internationally, you’d better heed that rule at ANY airport.

If you wanna get there 2hrs+ before, nothing wrong with that & busy airports like Atlanta 1hr might be pressing your luck, but for me, flying during the day in big cities, 1hr has always been fine

You must not be checking bags, because many major airports cut off bag check an hour before the flight for domestic flights. Some have a 45 minute cut off, but that’s not taking into consideration the wait time in line to check bags. Even having pre check isn’t reliable in places like Atlanta that don’t always have TSA manning those lines so everyone has to go through standard TSA lines.

I have never been to the airport two hours early & I fly A LOT especially in ATL. I will say, it is prayer, Jesus, my guardian Angels w/all 12 disciples lol oh and packing light. It’s no way to live lol cause Im rushing most of the time lol but it can be done. You got to have a lot of pep in ya step & prayer. Loads and loads of prayer 😅
