This is so true- thinking you have 'a crush' on someone of the opposite sex because you're expecting to and you're guessing that's what it feels like to fancy someone, you can't really understand the hype but okay you guess they're attractive looking and you're good friends?? then someone of your same sex comes along and bam! Now you suddenly understand what it's all about and wow you've never felt this way before and suddenly it all makes sense :)

Straight boy here. I remember when this song came out, I was 15, and I was dating my first girlfriend. She had just come out to me as bisexual a few days prior. Then one day, I remember she reblogged this video on Tumblr. As I watched the video, and listened to the lyrics “I don’t wanna be that girl”, I felt my heart breaking. It seemed almost as if she were speaking through the song, and saying that she didn’t want to be “that girl”, AKA, to be that girl in a hetero relationship with me.. at least, that’s how my insecure mind interpreted it. I was already very insecure, and when I found out she was bi, that only multiplied my insecurities, even though I said it didn’t bother me. I would watch this video multiple times in the weeks to come, the song acting as a soundtrack to the feelings of jealousy rising within me, the feelings of not being good enough for her. But I never said anything to her (what do you expect, we were 15, we didn’t know how to communicate). A few months later, she broke up with me, but I wasn’t surprised. This song was just one of the many things that tipped me off that she wasn’t happy with me. And of course, I was absolutely heartbroken. It was my first break up, after all. I’ll never forget the choking sadness I experienced that night after it happened, the tears and sobbing that made it hard to breathe. A few weeks after we broke up, she began dating a girl. They looked really happy together, which only made me sadder. I felt this resentment grow inside of me. I don’t like to admit it, but I was pretty biphobic for a while. The thought of bisexuality in my mind triggered pangs of heartbreak and feelings of betrayal. Years have passed, and my heart has long been healed. I’m glad to say that I’m much more mature now, and fully accept all sexual orientations; love is love. I hold zero resentment towards my ex - we were both stupidly young, and figuring ourselves out. I know that she didn’t mean to hurt me. Now, listening to this song, I’m transported back into time. Music is wonderful, in that way, it’s like a time capsule. This music video lets me dip my toes into the past, to briefly re-experience that devastating feeling of insecurity, paranoia, and heartbreak. It’s nice to feel that way now, only because I can feel good about how far I’ve come from that terrible place. Oh, and also, now I can safely say: This song slaps

Ana Cardona i have a lot of bisexual friends who also identify as queer - gaby dunn has a great video on how bisexuality for her (and many other people) doesn't actually support or perpetuate the gender binary. i wonder if you feel that i am not able to call myself queer, as a femme cis lesbian? does my gender identity and performance inhibit me from identifying as queer since i adhere to the traditional presentation of 'girl'? i'm not trying to be confrontational at all - while i do disagree with you, i'm just genuinely curious about your standpoint as i've honestly never heard of anyone saying bisexuality cannot = queer.

I apologize if you will not understand this lines. I can understand you, but I'm not good typing in english. You're building yourself upon a stable category. Your gender performance still reproducing preexisting codes that, actually, be part of the normative sexual system. Your own identity works between a series of rules that sustain the rol genders (based in a excluding dualism). I'm not trying to be confrontational at all because I'm a cisgender woman bisexual, but I know that being in the new codes, in the new normality (through stable categories) I'm not breaking the binarism -even when I truly like to-. We're just another face from the same coin, not a new face, like queer people.

I n e e d a movie about this. I mean, the Dork and the Nerd being friends and having a huge crush on the Jock and the Popular Girl. Obviously, the Dork is in love with the Jock and the Nerd with the Popular Girl. Since the two crushes are friends, the Nerd and the Dork will make a plan which consists on using each others' crush to approach the real crush, but... It turns unexpectedly. I FRICKING NEED IT
