No one speaks for Dave Chappelle so to assume he’s part of an alleged hate group is slanderous & ignorant. I don’t speak for him either but no evidence says he’s a hateful person out to attack others. He’s simple arguing for free speech and preventing hatred by including all of humanity with the humanization of so called marginalized groups. He is opinionated yes, but who’s not. He has every right to voice his opinion and earn a living. It’s the market that will decide what he earns.

It is pretty amazing how all those unique people that just want to get along and live their life seem to dress for attention, be emotional wrecks and constantly disrupt normal life with super odd requests or behavior while claiming it's everyone else that is the problem...I once knew someone that would change houses every year or two. I asked them why they kept moving, it had to be expensive was it because they were upgrading or did they not like the area. Answer was always my neighbors are full of drama and causing me problems....when you keep moving and your neighbors are always causing drama. Maybe it's not your neighbors but theirs?

In my opinion, this goes into a much deeper level. People play like they have morals and convictions but instead have opinions that they want to force on other people or entities and then throw a temper tantrum when those entities or people don't prescribe to the same morals and convictions. If those employees really had an issue with it, you would see at least some of them leaving the company in an act of solidarity after Netflix basically shut them down in their first rodeo. Instead, we have people who want to push their ideas on others and expect them to accept those ideas, and if they don't, virtue signal and use shame tactics. But those people will do everything in the book except make the one decision that will actually make a difference. Seems fairly privileged to me.

I love that Netflix did this. Society has put too much value in an individual's perceived right to do whatever they want and be entitled to a persuit of happiness with no regard for anyone else. Netflix shutting down these fools has made me me a lifelong customer. These idiots who expect a giant corporation to bend because 6 people aren't happy are narcissistic dillusionals. The world does NOT revolve around your sore ass. It's like those parents who let their toddlers decide their own bedtime, what to eat for every meal, and what to wear, regardless if their choices are 2AM, ice cream, and moms lingerie...you're not a good parent, just a lazy one. And when your kids grow up, they're going to be confused AF as to why they aren't getting their way all the time.

Netflix isn't standing up to woke culture on principle. They're doing it because Dave Chappelle is making them a boatload of money. If Netflix featured a little known comedian in a special which had low ratings and drew a lot of controversy from the alphabet community, you'd never see that comedian on Netflix again. Netflix even said in their memo that since the majority of the audience were with them, they decided, from a business standpoint, not to kowtow to the alphabet community. What does that tell you? It means that if more people were upset, and the specials weren't extremely lucrative, Chappelle would not be on Netflix in the future. It's not about principles and standing for what's right, it's about money.
@RetroKid

@@toshikotanaka3249 yes, and people think that we actually live in a democracy. The point is, whatever the reasons, the results are the same. We can't have everything, and regardless of whether or not they did it for altruistic or selfish reasons, the action remains the same, they're telling the alphabet community to stfu because you actually don't have to work somewhere if it bothers them so much. I get you though, and in a perfect world, everyone would do everything due to purehearted reasons and intentions. I'm sure they feel they are making the more profitable choice, but in this case, it's actually also the right choice.

"Society has put too much value in an individual's perceived right to do whatever they want and be entitled to a persuit of happiness with no regard for anyone else." A delusion shared by billions is still a delusion. I don't agree with Cancel culture and the woke agenda, but listen to what you are saying. I have encountered that many times in my life. People living in a mental cage wanting to oblige others to better go back into the same cage with them or else... The very people who put in place the modern monetary system did exactly what you described, but had the means to make people believe it was the best thing ever. But a lot of people feel only comfortable questioning what doesn't infringe their own delusions too much. We are a civilization addicted to money. We call that a pursuit of happiness and do it without regard for others. Never mind that there is always a limited amount of money around and the more one person needs the less there is for others. We celebrate people who scheme to obtain an amount as big as possible and have their newspapers then tell us that they are philantropes and heroes, and we tend to agree because we are addicted to money and it would be so hard to actually admit to that. So the next time you act like you are all caring and your pursuit of happiness is the right deal and the wokers are way out of line, think again. It is our shared addiction that was put in place by the people who lead us around on a leash. Are you willing to look that hard into the mirror? If not, just shut your mouth.

@@im3phirebird81 @iM3 Phirebird let me guess, you just watched "Zeitgeist", because that's the only way your rambling on about money makes any sense. Wtf was that nonsensical speech about? Maybe you should learn to compose a response that is less preachy and more about getting to the point. There are many examples of people pursuing happiness without the need for money, or even infringing on other people's happiness. Think about the lady who wants to spend spa day with her daughter, but can't because some dude wants to swing his dick around because he thinks he's a lady? The whole point was that these people think that their pursuit of happiness trumps everyone else's ability to live a comfortable life. Or that if you are inconvenienced, that something has to change. It doesnt, because that's what it means to live in a society...You're living with other people. Deal with it, and be considerate. Whatever the hell you were rambling on about, it's irrelevant. Some people just want to hear themselves preach word salad, like you. .

Netflix is not standing up to cancel culture. Every decision a company makes is measured against profit/loss. Every decision. They're keeping Chappelle because he makes them a boatload of money and they have experts that have determined that the public relations backlash would be negligible. Netflix doesn't care what their subscribers like or dislike or they would have pulled the movie "Cuties" which is still running as I type this. It had a huge disapproval rating from subscribers but it's making them a lot of money so it stayed. Very few businesses have principles that they would adhere to no matter what, it's too dangerous to their bottom line.

@@ShadowBrave21 Anecdotal only, but I really think the reason behind a lot of societal problems today is that most people did not get taught how to use the internet, so they fell victim to it. Maybe I was one of the lucky millennials but I've grown up to be fairly responsible, always understand that there are 2 sides to a story and most importantly that 99% of the internet is nonsense. I was a teenager when the internet first became a big thing and we had it drilled into us that everything should be treated suspiciously and always ask the 5 Ws of journalism: who what when where and why. I also regularly got told by my mum that if I spent too long staring at a screen I would get square eyes haha. As such I've never overly depended on social media and know how to utilise it and get benefits from it. Then maybe 2 years later, Facebook came. Then internet faster than 56k reached the masses. All of a sudden, waves of people who didn't know a thing about technology, getting it shoved down their necks. Receiving the benefits but also the drawbacks. Ten years or so later, and I just think it is no coincidence that mental health problems are on the rise... under the guise that mental health problems are simply talked about more today. Many people unwittingly exposed themselves to information overload, and became overloaded thusly. I can't explain it very well haha but it is as if we need to pause for a moment, go outside and have a think about who we really should be fighting... the people telling us to fight each other, rather than the person standing next to you in the street.

The issue about most palm oil is because they cut down parts of the rainforest to grow the palm trees, and they take away the orangutan and a lot of other animals’ ecosystem away, ten try kill or entrap them unethically The orangutans will end up in palm fields and make nests because they need to build nests high in trees, but the rest of their food and necessities they need from their environment isn’t there, so it’s not healthy for them. When some farmers find these nests, some try to chase them away, others shoot at the to scare them away, and some have been killing the mother an kidnapping the babies (&sometimes juvenile &/or adults too) then they illegally sell them for the exotic pet trade, other farmers will call rescue to have them help sedate crate and relocate them to a sanctuary Their natural habitat is being destroyed little by little, and each creature in those ecosystems are vital to its survival *rant over..BUT I’d suggest looking into it, there are nonprofit groups who run sanctuaries to help raise the orphans. They have jungle schools for different age groups to learn survival skills to be able to independently live in as natural conditions as possible, on a protected group of forest islands To my actual point finally- most of the palm oil industry is extremely unethical.. also pollution, I could really go on but I won’t

There should be some mode through which the workers can talk among themselves, and also directly to executives.
