CW for flashing, some blood and implied animal death!
This MV is mostly but not exclusively about Double Life!
This son of a gun took 6GB worth of render tests and 5 hours of rendering because I don't!!! understand why Vegas gets buggy with high framerates + sliding motions and I don't know how to fix it when it does...!!!!
That end portion also wasn't meant to be that flashy but Vegas just really hates it when I try and tinker with 4K videos (I rendered the revolving circle separately in high resolution for easier use in the rest of the MV) and I have absolutely no clue how to remedy it other than to render it in a framerate low enough to count on your fingers. Which I clearly did not do
I've really struggled to find the drive to finish my animatics/animations since the desert duo one, I really wish I'd just get possessed like that again... Oh well, I procrastinated on this thing for 5 months...!! grrrrrrr

Adoooooooooor the character designs. 1:05 I love how Pearls ears look like both moth antenna and wolf ears, and your Gem design is iconic. I was focusing on the subtitles and then looked up at the art at 2:11 and from only looking at the hands I realized that was Gem, 'cause I remember your Gem design so well. 1:28 Love how we never see Scott's eyes. Really nice touch. Somehow makes his squishy almost Steven Universe-esk design still look sinister. Fantastic! 2:32 Love the dancing! 2:28 Big wallpaper energy right there! Double bladed Syth, never would have thought it'd look good, but it looks fucking SICK! Gotta love the crescent moon symbolism

Oh also, I realized I forgot to mention this in my first comment, I love the set up and pay off of introducing the needles and the moth, then later have the moth and pearl both be pinned with the needles. Also interesting how it is Pearl holding the needles. Did she pin herself? Is that symbolizing that her obsession with her link mate is hurting her? Really great stuff! *Edit* Oh! I just realized her fluffy coat looks like both wolf fur and moth fuzz.

@@planetfall5056 Yesss that's why I gave her the fluffy cloak, for the moth resemblance! And yes, I love your interpretation and it's absolutely right, but also it's how Pearl holds onto her Scarlet persona and shows it off to scare people even though it was born from what others (esp Scott) said about her and her leaning into it almost as a way to protect herself when she was left all alone in DL. Like how Scarlet Pearl is brought out again in LimL to scare people (though to not too much effect), and the same thing again in SL where Gem just admired her upon seeing it

Another banger by Tubby! Ugh where do I even start with this, words are harrd.. I loved the symbolism, the motif of Pearl and Tilly walking on the earth but its got all the double life buildings and how when zoomed out its not earth, its actually the moon. I thought I imagined it for a second when I saw Gem in a few shots man, those GemPearl feels go hard man! And I love the little walk Tilly does on the roating earth/moon scene, its adorable! Great job as always!

This is amazing dear I love it so much!! Dear @muri9993 said it all, personally I loved the moth, especially the moment where it got pinned and Pearl got pinned too, then when her wings go domaged representing the damage to the mind of Pearl as the madness set in. Moth-like Pearl was a stunning design, she's so cute and vulnerable in this shot, and it show her desperation for chasing Scott attention. And speaking of Scott, the shadow of him being Pearl throughout the video represent so well his omnipresent presence in Pearl descent to madness. A stunning animatic, with incredible animations too. The lyrics are perfect for it, thank you for the subtitles, and for sharing your art with us.

THIS IS INSANE i love it so much. The contrast between how Scott and Gem treat Pearl in life makes me FERAL. You show it so well with the finger camera framing: how Scott sees Pearl bloody and surrounded by everyone else, coldly protecting him, while Gem sees her alone and scared.
