After watching your video I'm sold on the camera and will be back to rewatch your tutorial (and make notes) once it's in my hands. Thank you. Very good demo about this camera. I have just bought it my self and I learned a lot through this video about the different functions. More than the user manual shows... There is one thing in this camera I don't know why is there, and it is the "FILTER SETTINGS" in the camera settings. When the "FILTER SETTING" is set in "ON" mode it sets "photo style, color space, highlight shadow, i,Dynamic, flash" and other functions in grey and not to function. It took some time to figure that the "Filter setting" MUST be set to "OFF" mode to get these functions back.
@Shutterbug1014 жыл бұрын
Ah those Filter Settings. Essentially the same function as turning your dial to the painters palette, where you can turn your photographs to black & white, sepia, high key, low key etc. The unfortunate part about Panasonic cameras is there are a few functions that can grey out certain options and the camera doesn't tell you why. As much as I love this point and shoot, it does have a LOT of tools you can use which can be a pro and a con. I am glad you were able to figure it out on your own! If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks for the walkthrough! I just bought this camera to use for travel. I've used my faithful Nikon D800 with a 28-300mm lens for years, but as I get older, I'm trying to reduce the weight of my backpack. I tried to buy a Nikon A1000, but it was backordered, and I gave up after waiting for six weeks. This one cost more, but it looks like it will do as much or more than the A1000. Along with a lighter camera, my criteria were a good zoom lens, and being able to shoot in RAW. The ZS200 looks like it will do the trick. Thanks again for the helpful video.

Hi I just bought the ZS200 I liked your video How do you set up a bracketed shot like to take 3 photos one +1 one at neutral and one at -1 I can see where to find bracketing but can not seem to find a way ot take a bracketed shot after I have set it and then how do you turn it off also is there a quick way to do a bracketed shot Also in which program mode can you turn HDR to be on Thank you David Bellevue WA
@Shutterbug1013 жыл бұрын
Hello David! When it comes to setting up bracketing, you want to go to menu>camera tab>Page 4/4>Bracket>+/->More settings>step>3.1 and then make sure in that same menu under More settings>Single Shot Setting is set to multiple frames with the arrow. To turn it off, you will have to go into your menu to Bracket again, and set it to OFF. You may be able to set a shortcut to bracket by assigning it to one of your Fn buttons. You will assign your Fn buttons in the Menu under the wrench with the C tab>Operation>Fn Button Set. When it comes to HDR, you can turn on this option in the P, A, S and M modes through the menu right under the Bracket setting. Hope this helps!

Hi! Thanks so much for making this video. I found it very helpful! I'm having trouble with the "min. shtr speed" function. I set my minimum shutter speed to be 1/125 and put the "Shutter Type" to ESHTR. For some reason my camera keeps overriding and having shutter speeds below 1/125 (i.e. 50, 60, etc.) and my pictures are turning out blurry. Any suggestions? What setting should the top dial be set to for the "Min. Shtr Speed" function to work? I have tried it on P, A, S, and M, and I had the same issue regardless of the setting. I'm not sure if this matters, but I also have the "ISO Auto Upper Limit (Photo)" set to 1600. Would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Thanks!

On this camera, you are unfortunately not able to use any filters. This camera can perform under those circumstances, but not easily. You would need a sturdy tripod and use the timer setting or the app as a remote to capture the piece in low light. Otherwise, I would recommend something with a larger sensor that will excel in low light like a Sony A7II.

Can anyone help to answer the question: What does the numbers mean on the bottom-right corner of the screen, which changes between 1178 and r78 when the shutter button is half-way depressed? Thank you!
@Shutterbug1013 жыл бұрын
The 1178 is how many photos you have left to take on your memory card. As for the r78, in other cameras this typically represents how many photos you can capture in a row (like using your continuous drive) before it needs to stop to buffer.
@PeterMilanovski4 жыл бұрын
can it do slow motion video directly on the camera? Or do you need to do it in software? I know that it does 30 frames at 4k and I believe that it also does 60 frames at 1080, can it go faster at lower resolutions? 120 frames at 720 would be nice for a compact, I have the GX1 and I find that it's just not practical when I'm out with my family so something like this can be dropped into a pocket and you are basically done! I usually carry a battery bank for my phone anyway so it could also charge the camera if it needed it... also, in video mode, does it show the audio level meters on the screen?
@Shutterbug1014 жыл бұрын
This model does have a High Speed Video option when on the video mode, located on the first tab in the menu. It doesn't specify what frame rate it's using, but it is designed to capture slow motion video. I believe it is then up to you to slow it down in post processing. It also does not have an audio level display, unfortunately. But this is a pretty fantastic camera and it is possible to slow down 60 frames as well if the High Speed Video setting doesn't work well for you.
@PeterMilanovski4 жыл бұрын
@@Shutterbug101 I ended up going to the Panasonic website and it explains much of what I wanted to know but there was no mention of the audio level meters on screen, so thank you. The list of features is actually quite comprehensive from what I saw on the website, at 1080 it can do 100 frames per second but it doesn't get faster as you drop off in resolution as some of the gopro style cameras do.. The only let down for me is that there really isn't a way to get audio into the camera! Apart from it being handy when you are out and about, having a microphone input and switchable to aux input would mean not only could you use a microphone in an interview style but back at home you can tripod mount it and vlog with it, then all that it would need to do is be able to cut and assemble the videos on camera and you would have an excellent all rounder, maybe they need to release a camera specific to vlogers! There's a market there that no one is actually good at!
@Shutterbug1014 жыл бұрын
Vlogging is becoming more and more common so hopefully their next model will feature a Mic port and flip screen! Only time will tell, but that seems to be the most popular request! As an option, you can use your cell phone and a Rode Smartlav to record better audio and attach it to your video in post processing, but naturally it's more to juggle around.

What you will want to do is turn your dial to A mode > access "Bracket" on the 4th page of your red camera menu > Turn it on to the Aperture sign with the F in the middle > then go to the wrench part of your menu (NOT the wrench with the C) and access Cust.Set Mem. > Choose C1 > select Yes Now your C mode on C1 should allow you to bracket quickly! Please let me know if you have any other questions!

Have you tutorial as well to move the pictures to your mobile? Because when I am travelling I want to use them for a social journal so I need them on my phone and I don't figure it out how to do it and how to edit them with my phone afterwards. I hope you can help me. Thanks!

Hi, I noticed B&H Camera has discontinued this model but I still see it available on other sites. Has anybody heard if this camera is going away? I just bought it last month--a little irked if something newer and better is being released! Thank you

Got mine about a week ago, finally found one at Kenmore Camera in Washington State, I’m in NY closest one I could find, hearing Panasonic I’d getting out of the small point and shoot cameras, this one has all the best features for a travel camera, good luck finding one.

Hi. I can't figure out how to use this camera without a memory card. If I depress the shutter it tells me 'no memory card inserted' . Maybe the camera is recording the image but I can't how to review the pic.

You need a memory card for it to record any images, it does not have any internal storage.
