Shutting Down Of Chrisland School: Too Extreme?

The state government stated that the allegations of s^xual v1olence against Chrisland School students are being investigated by the relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), which include the Ministry of Education, the Office of Education Quality Assurance, the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, the Ministry of Justice, and the Lagos State Domestic & Sexu^l V!olence Agency.

I feel so sorry for the teachers . According to other parents on this trip , the teachers were very very straight, they did their rounds, checked , follow all the measures. At 12 midnight they did their final checks , every student was in bed. They went to sleep. This little girl got up from the 2nd floor and went up to the 10th floor . So what else was there for the teachers to do now? How could they have prevented this. So teachers were not supposed to sleep? When another parent questioned the little girl she said “ and so what it is just sLX , I am a big girl.” She did not stop there , the little girl wrote in her social media profile and said “ I enjoyed it the cassava.” Maybe I don’t have all the facts but from what parents on this trip said . To me this should be a lesson learned and next time increase their budget to have teachers monitor kids 24/7. The only place I fault the school is the concealment of information from parents but none of those teachers on that trip should be fired. We ourselves as parent , we are not up with our children 24/7.

This is the problem with Rich people. They outsource parenting to teachers and other care givers. Your daughter was right in your house making Erotic videos , 24,000 likes , right from your home , you take no responsibility as a parent for your negligence and abandonment of your child. Poor teachers got themselves in trouble for nothing . If they had done their last check at 12 midnight and this girl was not in her room of course it will be the teachers fault. Maybe because I am that parent who can call my child wrong out , this is why I see it differently. This little girl parents are not involved. Even if the child will make poor choices, you as a parent stand your ground. Let other people with different values criticize you, but before God you stood for the truth. When the school called her and told her we need to talk to you urgently about your child . She told the school “ I am traveling, when I get back I will come.” Tonto Dikeh was in South Africa 🇿🇦 for business, when the school called to say her son father did not pay the baby school fees, and they were going to put the child out of school, she dropped everything and was on the next flight ✈️ to Nigeria 🇳🇬 to take care of things. She took care of things and went back. I thought about this over and over and I cannot bring myself to see how these teachers on this trip were wrong .

Closing the School would mean that these kids are fully exposed to all types of crimes that non of you could ever dream of or imagine. The space here is not enough to tell you what is happing these days in such hideouts for kids in the name of such an expensive private schools. This problem is now everywhere but prevention is better than cure. The big phones in their hands are doing more harm than good. Parents, please shine your eyes, the devil is not very happy for this exposure , which might narrow his success. God us at work. My point question would be, did Government find out more, is the issue systemic within the School. May be Government found out that the School do not have neccessary processes set up to deal with issues like this. It's good that there should be thorough investigation. This is what happen when some parents have left their civic and parental responsibilities to the Teachers. Some parents have sex in the presence of their children thinking that they have slept, not separating their rooms from theirs and also allowing their children to watch a certain movies that may have negative impacts in their developments.

The main point is being missed in this case. Other students in the school could have been affected emotionally anyway. I strongly believe that students in this particular school have been 'groomed' sexually and this should be investigated before the school is re-open. The secrecy culture is damaging Nigeria children emotionally.

Closing the school with teach other schools on how to manage information. If the school had come out clean with the parents of the girl. the mother of the child would not have gone to the Social media to lament. Her lamentations escalated the matter that should have been properly addressed the school.. A lesson for all schools

The school should have hired a security guard to stay in front of each room overnight because the teachers are human beings too they deserve their rest, talking from experience when my children were young and we did chaperones weather it’s was for school or religious outings the organizations always hired security guards at night to stand in front of each room and some organizations even taped the door knobs so the kids knew they had no business opening the door until the next morning and in the event of an emergency they had the number to call so there’s no excuse what so ever.
