3 reasons I like this guys videos 1. I love that color of the Les Paul with the covers off the pick-ups. 2. Being in black helps to recognize his videos easier and helps concentrate while working no background distractions. 3. His videos are always good and correct.

What u say about Carlos is so true, he gets a tone and melodic sense that turns the guitar into something else, vocal articulate. Yeah, it's so soulful and bluesy, yet colorful, and sometimes just flaming and rockin, really unique guy, I went to there twentieth reunion concert some years ago, front seat, worth every penny, front seats aren't cheap these days, cost as much as a used car almost

Are talking about the dsm silver lingning pedal? Sorry I’m french speacking and I’m not sure you’talking about this pedal. Is it usefull for Santana ´style? I don’t know this pedal and I was thinking to buy it. I had a Tube Sreamer and a fuzz. I m satisted with them, but I m curious about ather sound. Sorry for my english
@sakalacaca2 жыл бұрын
@@marie-christinekoehlschind3560 hi! No, it’s “silver lining” is a phrase people use to evoke optimism in a situation that is more commonly seen as not good. I’m curious about this silver lining pedal though! Also, If you’re trying to replicate tone or style if Santana’s playing I would recommend trying to get the most “sustain” you can out of your set up. Make sure overdrive isn’t muddy but rather warm and clear. As for style, listen to his phrasing. He plays very technically but also very soulfully. Santana’s guitar playing also glides atop his Latin Afro fusion rhythm section. So much of that guitar magic is actually his leaning on a brilliant arrangement.

Great tutorial of my favorite solo. I was saddened not to find the tabs for sale on your site. This would be insanely awesome if the tabs and backing track were available. Maybe I can find the backing track elsewhere but I think you've got this string/fret/bend thing pinpoint accurate so I wouldn't want any other tabs (maybe I can transcribe... maybe). Even as is, great work and terrific teaching style. Thanks for giving back to us who dream...

@chippchipp17 жыл бұрын
+abejacgot it's a pedal effect that modulates the pitch of whatever you're playing, in this case very slightly.
@cyd27006 жыл бұрын
chippchipp1 hey bro can you give an example of the pedal that have d tune? I'm a newbie on electric guitar and effects. Thank you
@chippchipp16 жыл бұрын
+isidro I I think the Boss ps-3 has a good detune setting, you should check that one out. Also, chorus pedals have a very similar sound to a detune pedal, the only difference is that chorus pedals constantly change the modulation of the pitch, while a detune pedal will keep the signal at a set amount of detuning constantly Boss also makes a good chorus pedal.
