No me voy de èste mundo sin aprender ésta genialidad de Lennon. Gracias por la paciencia y la didáctica con la que nos muestras el don que tienes con la guitarra.

I wish you would make a video playing this song on your Taylor 314ce Grand Auditorium for comparison with the Martin Dreadnought! I know that is not the focus of your channel, but it doesn't hurt to wish. I'm amazed at the clarity and sustain you get out of your acoustic guitars, notwithstanding the high-end quality of these instruments. I wish you would share you guitar/s and recording set-up as a tip for your subscribers struggling with getting a decent sound recording an acoustic guitar.

Yeah, for sure. I didn't have it when I made this video, and honestly I didn't play it that great in the demo. I know I could play it a lot better now with my Taylor. Anyways, that's life. Whenever I look back at things I've done, I never think they're any good! Cheers, Andy.

Good job on the chord voicings. One small subtlety: I think he's playing most of those chords with upstrokes to give them a little more snap with the treble leading the strum. If you watch some of the videos you'll see this. ...yes in those days some of the "live" performances were lipsynced, but to my ears I still think the lead track was recorded with upstrokes.

I’ve always been mesmerized how Jimmy created so much momentum to open up a song. And then in this one like 2/3s of the way thru he gets the momentum going a 2nd time to close out the song. He’s known for his electric stuff but some of his best work was on acoustic without question.

A brilliant lesson as usual, especially as both guitar parts are covered. I would say however it makes no sense to use your thumb on the G string on the verse I would just keep using your index (pointer/first) finger on the G string as it is for the rest of the song. This also helps with the 'extra note'

excellent detailed tutorial. the only thing i would add is to play the whole song or at least all the main parts without stopping so we can get a better”feel” for the tune. otherwise very informative lesson. thank you

Thanks. I ALWAYS do a demo of the song I'm teaching, in fact I spend more time on my demos than I do on the lessons! Sometimes the demos are in a separate video because if potential copyright issues. My website is the best place to take in my content. If the demo and lesson videos are separate, they're both on the same page. www.shutupandplay.ca/she-sells-sanctuary--rhythm-and-solo.html Cheers, Andy.

4:47 + 6:56 This is better than the super popular tune tutorial guys out here that I usually go to. I'm at 5 mins + - and you're showing and calling out the chords, this is more crucial by far for me than how the other guys are showing us 3rd fret, second sting blah blah blah THANK YOU.

The gypsy kings version, is very good. (If you are like me, playing the solo over, and over, forever and ever, kinda ruined the song for me?). Interestingly, i think of it more, as a reggae tune now. (Still a cool song, and joe walsh, is a monster ).

I love your version of this. It would be helpful for beginners like myself if instead of only calling out the chords, you would also name the frets/strings that youre on. They are not so clear in the video unless you already know what youre looking for , which i dont. Learning songs i love is the only thing that keeps me motivated to learn the guitar but beyond reading tabs, im at a loss when it comes to knowing the shapes . It helps me to learn the chords when i can apply them to songs i love like this. Thanks for this! ❤

Great tutorial. Thank you. For those learning this, be prepared for a very sore wrist until you've built up the stamina. Light strings would probably help as would low action. I'm currently using 10s. Gonna switch to 9s or even 8s when they wear out. To lower the action and tension I've tuned down two steps and barred the second fret. Then I start it at the 11th fret. A Gibson style neck would probably be easier too. I'm playing it on a Strat. My Gibson is tuned to open G for more Keith songs and my other electric is in standard tuning. It would suck have to change tuning all of the time on just one guitar. The tremolo is also part of what makes this riff great.
