8:31 he made a dialect/accent match between "child" and "out". He stressed both words to give them a passable similar pronunciation. However, it only works within certain areas of dialect. Outside of those areas, people wouldn't recognize the change for what it was. It was still an awesome flow he had.

Chi-Chi's bird Nero is a so called "anti-bird", who is used to check out the amount of mana in a newbie caster. Because Asta has no mana, anti-birds flock to him while pecking him. Nero is the only one staying with him. For the main duration of the series a mysterious entity who constantly sat on Asta's head and helped as a guide but also keep abusing Asta for comical effect. Only later on we discover it's a woman who was sealed herself in an anti-bird. She becomes a true member of Black Bulls later on.

You should definitely start it. It may seem generic but it very quickly does it’s own thing. Also, the main character initially yells a lot. If that’d ruin it for you then I recommend reading it instead.

It's an amazing anime, but the first few episodes, till like.. episode 18 or 19 is kinda slow, and the main Characters voice is annoying at first but he fixed it after like episode 10. So if you can make it past 18 episodes and watch till episode 28, you'll get hooked.
