@@maylye7717 What are you Talking about right here? We must protect and maintain our ancient monuments. I want to say that meaning. You know we are not Mahayana Buddhism. We have very precious Buddha' Dhama book. Buddha teaching. Vipassana medition.etc., Something went wroung. What do you want to mean?

This the reason why Buddhism can’t compete in terms of the number of followers because of its pacifist centered ideology compared to abrahamic aggressive beliefs which is later then used by a ruling government as a smoke screen for their aggressive policies

As someone who was born and raised in Yangon, Shwe Dagon is somewhere I frequented. Now, I have relocated in a foreign country and can’t help but miss the pagoda and its surroundings a lot although this was a documentary from 2018.

I had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful temple back in 2017, it was beautiful. There were so many intricate story tellings all throughout the temple. I had walked for hours and still felt there was so much more yet to explore. However, my favourite part of the trip was my visit to Bagan, i felt like indiana jones exploring the ancient temples. So much wonderful history in Myanmar, i will be back!

Lovely, but it seems like the script wasn’t very well translated at points. Could be a bit misleading for non Buddhist audiences. Beautiful place and I hope that the opportunity to visit will come one day. May all beings be free from suffering! 🪷💚🙏

Loved this video. The only thing that bothered me was offering cigarettes inside the compound of the sacred shrine which houses the holy relics of the Buddha. I mean where is the practice of panchasheela? Doesn't the fifth precept mean anything to you all? How can the authorities allow such behaviour from the laity?

Buddhism formed in the shadows of Hinduism. The architecture of this shrine reflects Hindu influences. Great documentary. 🎉🎉

Buddhism spread all over Indian subcontinent before hinduism! Be careful not to confuse modern Hinduism with Brahmanism: devas are different and the philosophy behind religion is different!

Both Stupa of Kanishka(Pakisthan) and Jethavanaramaya (Sri laka) had a similar shape and both of them were built in 2nd century making them tallest buildings in Asia at that time.... But Stupa of kanishka is no more... But in the case of Jethavanaramaya, it's top part fell off after the chola invasion so it was reconstructed in 12th century to its current shape...

You don't know the other side of the story. They are bengali migrated during British rule from Bangladesh..there hindus from UP , Tamil Nadu, MP , bihar & west bengal too. But rohingyas , they all were brought by Britishers for labor & security. Therefore, these rohingyas joined the British government to attack Myanmar . Later they demand separate state for them. If you don't believe they are bengali , you can check through DNA test. Anyway what your country do when migrants in your country demand separate state ? If they do violence & rape & harassment against local civilians there.

You should bring in Afghan and pakistani men into your country and see the diversity unfold, the beautiful Islamic culture includes marriage of 9 year old girls, bacha bazi, fgm, burqq niqab, polygamy and death penalty for blasphemy, and let's not forget Under Sharia law, the punishment for adultery varies depending on the marital status of the individuals involved: Unmarried individuals: 100 lashes Married individuals: 100 lashes and stoning to death

@@cloudysky-h4c well we live now, and killing people for any reason is terrible , really terrible considering the Buddhist tenet of ahimsa, non harm.A leading monk may as well eat his own shit as incite others to terrible violence. Some of the comments on here are shocking.
