I don’t think a.I for the creative side is that scary because humans, especially now more than ever, want a connection to a person, or know more about a person and the details of their daily life or the process of their art, especially art. A.I art, it’s cool that it can do what it does but in the end does the art resonate as much as the art of a genuine person. I think it will help weed out a bunch generic stuff and it will probably push more people to get more personal, introspective and reflective, about their art as to resonate with more people. I think for the art side is just a fad for fully generative art but there will be be plenty of artists that use the a.I as tool to ideate and then build on top of it as far as A.I art alone without a creative mind behind it, don’t think it will survive. Where it is scary is the scams you all mentioned. Regular people and famous people, how will we be able to trust the news we see when fake voices and videos become more prevalent? But then the other hand, medically I see a lot of upside for a.I to be able to detect things or target areas doctors have trouble targeting. So there’s the good and bad, but as creatives, I don’t think we need to be scared, because the audience will always be more drawn to the human connection than a fancy piece of art/animation with no substance/motivation behind it.

My two cents for aliens and pyramids. And I’m sure I’ve heard this somewhere but I really believe. Is that if we are to say that aliens made the pyramids, we are denying that their could have been civilizations more advanced than us. Like indigenous people writing off European guns as magical weapons. As soon as there’s a technology we don’t understand, humans start to mythicize it. But that just diminishes the possibility that we could also achieve that, if we were to take more time to understand rather than write it off as “that’s aliens.”There is the younger dryas theory/collision, which seems to be having more proof every year. And I don’t think it’s impossible to believe there could have been smarter humans before us that were wiped out in a cataclysm and the remnants of their existence after 10,000 years goes from fact to fiction. We believe that way back when it was only hunters and gatherers but even in todays society we have technologically advance civilizations and there are still places with hunter gathers, so we coexist now, why couldn’t we have coexisted 1000s of years ago? And if there were a cataclysm today that say some could survive, would the college educated Londoner or New Yorker survive? Only the ones who could make it to the amazons, deep tribal parts Mongolia or Africa could survive. And then their stories of flying across the world in aircraft’s and handheld devices filled with endless knowledge passing down from tribe to tribe another 10,000 years, now would only sound like myth/fiction to the humans 10k years later.

I love this conversation for the unashamed love shared between black men who are making it. No competition, no breaking each other down. Just men giving each other flowers and celebrating each other's success is a beautiful thing. Can we please celebrate that we are finally redefining masculinity in our communities. The fact that Chunkz could ask James how he feels about people thinking he is gay and that was merely a topic of discussion amongst many, not an inflection point; they dealt with it and moved on. This is powerful. This is the future...we are witnessing it.
